“What?”
“Kori. That’s who you’re talking about, right? She’s been in with that skier for hours.”
“Snowboarder,” I correct before sinking lower into the hot water, the itching spreading quickly.
Hours.
Good. Wonderful. Fuck like rabbits, just like I predicted. Just like I wanted.
Again, with my condoms.
“Don’t worry, we’ve got condoms, too. Lots of them.”
Knee guy leans in close, nuzzling the skin below my ear, and my eyes close on their own, welcoming the foreign touch. Yes. Now this I take full credit for. What’s better than one fuckboy rebound? Two.
“Stop reading my thoughts,” I mutter. “They can’t be trusted.” That’s why I drowned them out to begin with.
“Sorry, baby.”
Reality backhands some of the alcohol blur from my vision as I blink my eyes open, tilting my head away from knee guy to tell him, “Don’t call me that.”
“How about you lose some of this?” His friend changes the subject, tugging on my shirt. More reality comes into focus, making me wish I could just go under the water altogether. I can’t lose my shirt or my scars will be on display. I can lose my other clothes though. At this point, they’re just deadweight anyway, and since I already lost a 6’2”, hundred-and-seventy-five-pound—
No.
I never had Roz. I coveted him, but I didn’t have him.
The guy with my shirt in his grasp starts to pull it up, but luckily, someone’s voice booms through the screened-in three-season room, keeping him from lifting it any higher.
I eye the material caught in his fist, willing it to be freed somehow without me being obvious about it. It’s only the three of us in the hot tub, but there’s people everywhere, all around us.
My other bookend doesn’t stop his deep-water exploration as his hand finds its way to my inner thigh, and when one of his fingers grazes my pussy through my pants, I have to gurgle through a hiss to stifle a gag, dropping my head on the headrest, so I can’t see him anymore.
With my eyes still open and on the ceiling, I catch Roz as he crosses my line of vision followed closely by Kori. I struggle to follow them as far as my odd position allows, but from what I can tell, Kori’s got on a bright yellow bikini while Roz is just in plain cargo shorts.
It’s their expressions however that have me lifting my head to get a better look. They’re both wearing a pair of matching frowns like an old married couple sitting in a restaurant full of people with absolutely nothing to say to each other. I see it all the time.
I don’t exactly know what I was expecting from Roz and Kori, but frowns weren’t it.
Afterglow fuzzies.
Tender caresses.
Self-righteous smiles.
Not…whatever this shit is.
“Nice.”
You can taste the disapproval in Roz’s tone as he scowls at us, and I have to suppress another gag using the back of my fingers against my mouth.
I track him leading Kori over to the opposite side of the hot tub. He’s dirtier than I thought he’d be. Don’t get me wrong, his mouth is straight filth normally, but this is like actual dirt. Flakes of it coat his palms and forearms that he tries to hide when he notices me looking. What’s that about?
“Back at you,” I fling at him like an accusation. “You owe me fifteen dollars and sixty-nine cents, by the way.”
Roz eyes Kori and I scoff, shaking the thought of him actually using them with her from my head. Thankfully, it sinks to the bottom of the boiling water when two pairs of lips start in on my neck.
Roz’s golden eyes find mine again, and before I can stifle it, a moan escapes, drifting over the steamy surface, straight to his scowl, making it deepen.
