7 Minutes in Sea Haven

She’s not open to any of them finding her, is she? According to Dex, she kind of has to be, but…that doesn’t mean I have to be. I’ll start breaking jaws now if I have to.

“I warned you, sailor.” Tina’s voice brings me back. “This is not like regular 7 Minutes in Heaven. It’s got elements of primal play, sensory deprivation, anonymous sex—”

“People are gonna be fucking?” Kota? Kota could be fucking?

“If both parties are willing, yeah. Hopefully they’re safe, otherwise memories won’t be the only thing being taken out of here.” Her elbow digs into my side.

“In seven minutes?”

“Don’t act like you need more than that.”

I frown at her pursed lips and dead eyes. I know it’s possible to have sex in seven minutes, but they’ve been making it sound like the search will take up most of that.

“Hunters! You will face the water until the second horn goes off!” Two fingers are held up high above the gamemaker’s head. “Then and only then, can you turn and pursue! Absolutely no peeking before the second horn!”

Rubbing his hands together, Dex asks, “So, what’s it gonna be, Killa’ K? Hunter or Prey?”

“What the fuck’s wrong with you? Why would you call me that here?”

“But, the rumor—”

“Doesn’t need to be confirmed.”

The guy with the blindfolds comes by but the three of us decline. I’m nobody’s prey.

“Why don’t you want Kota to know again?” Tina questions when he’s gone.

“She’s too…pure.”

“Dude.” Dex doesn’t expand but his eyes do.

I just shake my head. What?

“She came here, knowing what would be going down. She’s not that pure.”

Despite thinking the same thing, I feel the need to point out, “Tina and I came here and we didn’t know.”

“You, I kept out of the loop on purpose. You’ve been so miserable, I was hoping it’d cheer your sad-boy ass up.”

“I’m not a sad boy.” At least not anymore.

“And Tina…she’s played before.”

“Then why are you going to the shack?” I ask her.

“Because I’m not pure either and the true debauchery happens in the shack.”

Dex and I gape at her.

“The fuck?”

“Like what?” I have to know.

Tina laughs. “Out here, it’s only one-on-one. In there, it’s—”

“Don’t say it,” Dex begs with a groan.

“More.”
