“I don’t really understand…that. Did he do any kind of foreplay?”

“Dirty talk.”

“Kota, you know that wasn’t dirty talk.”

“Now. But I didn’t always.” That was all I knew. Guy was all I knew.

“It’s fine. It’s not but…it’s over. That is over. You’ll never have to put up with him or his constant instructing again.”

I like that Khaos is so confident I’ll never go back to Guy, as if he’ll be around long enough to make sure I don’t.

Being that our parents are married, I guess he will be in some manner.

“Did you actually like the condoms?” he asks.

“I didn’t know the difference before.”

“And now that you do?”

“I prefer…”

“Bare?”

“You.”

Khaos’s face splits into a grin.

“Just me?”

“Everything about you.”

That grin grows into a full-blown smile.

I probably shouldn’t admit that, but after all his confessions, it feels almost insignificant.

“I didn’t hurt you at all?”

“No.” Although, I’ll probably be sore tomorrow. “I just…”

“Tell me.”

“I just wish I could’ve finished.”

All traces of his flattery disappear.

“You didn’t?”

“I did the first time. And then I was most of the way through the second one when you—”

“I killed it?” he complains like it’s a great tragedy.

My nod is just as serious. “You killed it.”

“Shit. I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I thought you were done.”

At least he seems sincere.

“You’re going to have to make it up to me later.”
