“You’re the one dreaming about me,” I accuse, getting the focus off me. Off that.

“Just tell me what the fuck you were doing,” he snaps with double the hostility.

I triple it to yell, “It’s none of your business!”

I was working on my jumps. Before I left to go do that, Guy was sulking about the blue balls my period was giving him, and when I got back, he no longer wanted that blow job he’d been anticipating. I assumed it was because he soothed his own ache while I was downstairs. Which… Yeah. That’s what he did. That’s what Khaos heard. Whatever porn Guy was watching while I was in the gym, must’ve had a Dommy kink to it. I stopped asking about his porn preferences when he started belittling mine. I don’t consider the romance books I read porn, but Guy does.

“He was watching porn.”

All at once, the noise in my head goes silent. I know my boyfriend and I’d know if he was cheating on me. Especially in my own house.

“Porn?”

I nod. “He does that.”

Khaos scoffs.

“What? Like you don’t?”

“I do but…”

“But what?”

“Why did you lie to him? Why couldn’t you just say you didn’t feel like fucking?”

Now I’m the one scoffing. “You think your girlfriend hasn’t done the same to you?”

Even though I have yet to see any evidence of my new housemate’s relationship, he said he had a girlfriend.

Not denying it, Khaos looks at the floor.

“And let me guess? You didn’t know not every orgasm she has is real either?”

Sorry to be the one to break it to him but somebody has to.

“None of them are real…” Those sapphire eyes meet mine. “Because she’s not.”

“Is she AI?” That’s a thing now. People have relationships with artificial intelligence.

“I made her up.”

“Wha—” I start, then stop. He doesn’t have a girlfriend? “Who did you think I was in the kitchen?”

“A girl I had over the night before,” he says with a shrug.

“What girl?”

“I don’t know. I didn’t catch her name.”

Right back to hating him.

“You’re disgusting.”

“I needed a ride and she gave me one.”

“I’m sure she did.”

His chuckle is full of just as much innuendo as my comment, maybe more. Gross. I don’t want to think about Khaos and some girl hooking up in my house. I don’t want to think about Khaos hooking up at all. He’s… He’s…
