I break from my stance, going right up to her, not even caring when she accidentally hits me with one of those arms straight out in a T.

“I said stop.”

“You don’t own me.”

“If I did, you wouldn’t be doing this shit.”

“What would I be doing? Huh?”

Doing the splits on my face until I swallowed every ounce of cum your body’s capable of producing.

“Watching a movie.”

“With you?” She chuckles.

“Why not? I’ll even let you choose which one.”

“A true gentleman.” With a scoff, she shuffles a foot to the left and begins again, except instead of picking up where she left off, she starts at one.

So is that a no?

“You don’t have to do everything your mom says.”

“I tried that once. Rebellion. Didn’t go so well.”

I pivot to face her.

“What happened?”

“She didn’t come home for three weeks.”

“I’m sure Guy was happy to set up camp here for that long.”

Somehow she shakes her head without messing up. “It was before we started dating.”

Jesus. “How old were you?”

“Fourteen.”

“Your mom left you by yourself for three weeks when you were fourteen years old because you disobeyed her?”

Kota continues her herkies.

“Why didn’t you call your dad?”

“I did.”

“What’d he say?”

“Nothing. He didn’t answer.”

“What about when he called you back?”

“I’ll let you know.”

She hasn’t heard from her dad in five years? Where’d Tina say he moved again? Jersey? That isn’t that far. Just across the Hudson from New York.

I watch her for another minute, her movements so methodical. So smooth.
