7 Minutes in Sea Haven

Why did I say that?

That’s what I think of whenever someone mentions dolphins—how sexual they can be toward humans. And egotistical. Apparently, they love mirrors.

“Shit, Silver. Guess I’m meeting you at the bottom after all.”

That wasn’t… Crap. I wasn’t actually offering.

“Don’t you need to know how to swim to the bottom first?”

“You can breathe for the both of us.”

My eyes find his lips, lingering on the drops of water clinging to the bottom one that are dangerously close to falling.

“Again.”

“Um.” I shake my head. “We should work on your strokes.”

Khaos grins. “You’re not supposed to say that word around me.”

“You can’t see my—”

I’m yanked closer to Khaos, his lips now water-free as he rasps, “Believe me, I have it memorized. All I have to do is close my eyes to see your delicious cunt in vivid detail.”

As if to prove his point, his eyelids flutter closed. He even licks his lips, the top from right to left, then the bottom, left to right.

Without him looking at me, I feel brave enough to bring up, “You said it tasted tragic.”

“The only tragedy is…” Khaos’s eyes open and lock on to mine. “…I didn’t get to bury my face in your pussy and taste it directly.”

The quick swim didn’t wear me out one bit, yet my chest is heaving like it did.

Khaos didn’t even go under and his breathing’s just as affected.

Why can’t we breathe? Where is the air?

“I have a boyfriend.”

“I don’t care.”

“I can’t cheat.”

Each sentence spoken chips away at the space between us, drawing our bodies closer.

“You already did.”

“That was an accident.”

And closer.

“Our kiss wasn’t.”

“It wasn’t a kiss. It was…a form of CPR. That’s why I’m teaching you how to swim, so you won’t need such desperate measures again.”

“You want desperate? I’ll walk to the deep end right now.”

“Don’t.”

Now I’m clutching him. Which only eats up more distance between us.
