I pat my thigh.

She takes no time, throwing a leg over the seat and finding footing on either side of me. She slides down onto me, and I’m done for. She holds my eyes, and my life, as she fully seats herself on me.

“Hayze,” Her mouth finds my neck. She places small and greedy kisses to my skin as she pushes up until just the head of my cock remains in her. She sinks back down with a whimper.

She wraps her arms around me and loses herself in the movements. She rides me with her mouth, never leaving the beating pulse in my neck. She must feel my pulse quicken, because she slowly pulls her head back from me with knitted brows.

She opens her mouth to ask me what’s wrong, no doubt. I crash my mouth to hers, wanting to steal one last kiss before I tell her. She kisses me lightly, but quickly pulls away, pinning me with a knowing look.

I LOVE YOU

I spell it out, not feeling like the sign portrays my feelings enough.

Her body goes taut, still seated fully on me.

“Hayze,” It sounds like a warning. My chest slowly splits. I know the rejection will send me into a depressive episode, but it's worth it if it means she knows.

She unhooks her arms from my neck, a shiver running down my spine at the loss of her touch. Both hands find my face.

“Say it again.” I move inside her.

“I love you, Rayvn. I don’t know how to love nor how to tell you better, but I do know I love you.” The corners of her mouth slightly upturn.

“Ah, I didn’t catch that. You were signing too fast.” I laugh at her. I pin her hips down and thrust into her. Her laughter turns into giggles, but just as quickly as they came, her face shifts into a serious mask.

“I’m not sure what love is, but I know I feel something deeply for you.”

“I’ll take it.” I sign, my hands having little room between our bodies.

I make the first move, placing my hands under her thighs to support her. I use my leverage under her to bounce her on my cock, and her moans and cries have turned into soft pants and low whines.

It doesn’t take long for her to shatter on me. Her walls clench around me as her thighs tremble beneath my hands. Mine follows shortly after hers, my seed spilling deep inside her.

She leans against me, head rested on my shoulder. Her breath fans across my neck as I hold her. I let us cherish this moment. With our lives suddenly erupting into chaos, we both need to cherish moments like this.

“Hayze?” I nod, not wanting to remove my hands from her. “I think I’ve loved you for a while. I think the first time I felt it was when I was begging for your forgiveness after insulting you. I had never wanted to be forgiven more than in that moment.”

That organ in my chest picks up again.

“There’s been this sense of want lingering in the back of my mind when I’m near you. But the more I think, the more I realize it’s not lust. I just want you. I want to hear your stories—to hear how you perceive books versus how I do.” She brings her face level with mine. “What I’m trying to say is—I love you, Hayze. I love you as Hayze, as Hyde, as Ronnie, and I’ll love you as Cameron as well.”

Her mentioning Ronnie mends some hidden part of me. Like I’ve been waiting my whole life for someone to tell me I was worth loving back then. Not the physical kind, the innocent kind that I yearned for.

She makes me feel like I’m worth loving for once. And for her, I’ll live everyday like I’m dying—no. I’ll live everyday as if she might be dying—because she’s worth fighting for.

Seek

Hayze spent last night packing the house. Slowly but surely we’re gathering things that are necessary for us to move. Most of the things we’ve accumulated through our years here are going to have to be left behind, but we’re hellbent on taking stuff with us as well.

The barrel has been disposed of, though he never told me where he took it, just told me I didn’t need to worry anymore about it—taking any take of the corrupt cop with it.

I’m walking through the grocery store, Rayvn sitting in the car, against her wishes, of course. She mentioned to me that she was nervous about being alone in the house, since the cop got inside undetected. So I brought her with me, but only to the parking lot.

The shelves are stocked full of Halloween candy, the holiday creeping up fast. I toss a few themed candies into the cart as an apology to the grumpy woman awaiting me.

I’m humming to myself, fully content on how life’s going to be once we’re far away from the law. Rayvn’s been sleeping in my bed—well, we’ve all been sharing my bed more. Each of us takes one side of her. She tells us she feels like she’s in a human incubator—and she loves it.
