God, I want to believe him. I really do.

Instead, I say in a gruff voice, “Let’s not get ahead of things. All I’m suggesting is we talk to her, find out how she feels about what happened, and what—” I pause and shoot him a pointed stare. “If she wants anything to happen next.”

Foxxy’s grin is wide. “There he is.”

My brows draw together. “What does that mean?”

His hand lands on my shoulder. “It means my best friend has finally remembered he’s meant to be the smart one in our friendship. I’m the charming one, you’re the steady one. I have the big crazy ideas, and you figure out how to make them work. And I know you can do that in this situation. With her and with us.”

I blow out a breath. “So we’re doing this. We’re gonna talk to Liv, tell her we both like her and want to date her, together.”

“And let her decide if she wants that, too.” Foxxy nods, then lifts his fist up.

I bump it lightly.

“You know what this means, right?” he says, a mischievous smirk on his face that has me dreading whatever he’s about to say.

“What?” I ask cautiously.

“It means we need a couples name. No, a throuple name. I’m thinking, Ofoxxin?”

“I’m thinking no.”

“You’re right, I can do better. See you at home, bro.” With that, he hops out of my truck and swaggers over to his own vehicle.

I watch him go with a small smile. “Griffoxxia is a way better throuple name.”

OLIVIA

“What the hell is wrong with you?” My brother looks at me, confused, as I run around my apartment.

“Nothing!” I say, but it’s muffled because my head is stuck in the depths of a closet, trying to find what I’m looking for. “Aha.” I pull out the ancient Vancouver Tridents baseball hat and slam it on my head.

“Seriously?” Kyle stands with his arms across his chest, staring at me critically. “I think you could spring for a new hat, Oliver. That one’s, like, easily ten years old. And it’s not even the team we’re going to watch.”

“Don’t care,” I say as I push past him. “C’mon. Let’s go.”

Muttering under his breath about weird choices, Kyle follows me down to his car. He’s driving us to the Cedar Creek Thunder stadium for the home opener game.

I didn’t want to come. I tried to make up an excuse not to, but he wouldn’t hear of it.

“I bought two tickets, Livvy. You have to come with me. I don't know anyone else here except the guys, and they’re gonna be a little busy.”

In the end, I caved, against my better judgment, and now I’m going to see Denver and Griffin, together, for the first time since…

Since I woke up in Griffin's arms and Denver was cooking breakfast in my kitchen.

Well, that’s something I don’t want to be thinking about with my brother right here. Instead, I stare out the window at the town as we drive through it and try not to think of the two men we’re on our way to watch play ball. Or about how much I miss them, or how annoyed I am that I miss them.

It’s not them I miss, it’s the sex. The laughter. The…fun.

Yeah. That’s it.

“Damn, hopefully the parking lot isn’t full. Is your foot okay if we have to walk?” Kyle says worriedly, and I look out the front window at the reason he’s concerned. We still have a ways to go till we reach the stadium, and traffic has slowed to a crawl. There’s a steady lineup of cars, all headed in the same direction as us.

“I’ll be fine,” I reply. “My ankle is basically better.” That’s not entirely true, it still twinges occasionally and the bruising hasn’t entirely faded, but I am getting around just fine.
