“Glue.”
Stone quirked a brow at me. “What kind of glue?”
“Specifically? It’s made for skin. Sort of like the kind they use for special effects.”
“Nope,” Novak said as he put his t-shirt on. “You are not gluing those to me.”
“I wasn’t planning on it.”
“Where are you gluing them, Kitten?”
I opened the pack of googly eyes, shifting through the assortment of sizes to find the right pair.
“Do you want to know?”
“You don’t,” Novak advised. “You really don’t.”
Stone smirked, shaking his head. “I don’t. I’m not getting in the middle of whatever you’re starting with the fae.”
I grinning, holding up the pair I chose. “What do you think of these?”
“I think they’re a decent—No,” Novak cut himself off. “I’m not taking part in this.”
“Just here for moral support?” I teased, uncapping the lid of the tube.
“Staying to watch him flip out and spank your ass,” he retorted, moving to the opposite side of the room.
I squeezed the tube, and a single drop of thick milky liquid fell onto the back of a googly eye… And then I fished my hand under the sheet, bumping the ridges of my fae’s abs as I sought my prize.
There was no one reason why Vaughn was my victim. Other than him being the first to fall asleep around me. I’d had this idea for a few weeks, but there hadn’t been a right time to do it.
Until now.
I pressed the tacky side of the googly eye to the head of Vaughn’s dick, repeating the process once I knew the first stuck.
The glue wasn’t anything crazy. All it took was baby oil or makeup remover to take it off... But still. I bit my cheeks until I tasted blood, because I knew if I cackled like I wanted to, I’d wake him up.
I needed three more minutes to make sure the glue had dried.
“I’m totally throwing you under the bus when he sees what you’ve done.” Novak tried to glare at me, but his lips kept tugging up against his will.
“I’m staying out of it,” Stone reminded us, tugging a pair of faded black jeans over his hips. “You know we’re supposed to be getting ready, right?”
I nodded. “Yep.”
“You’re going to cheat and use magic, aren’t you?” he guessed.
“Why wouldn’t I?” I shrugged. “It’s not cheating if it’s my power.”
“Vaughn!” Novak screamed. “Fire!”
I threw the tube of glue at him, my eyes narrowed but alight with his challenge.
“Asshole,” I hissed, moving quickly as Vaughn snapped straight up.
“Did you say fire?”
“No,” my vampire replied. “You must have been dreaming.”
