He lets out a soft laugh as he looks down to my neck, his thumb tenderly stroking my skin. “You should know, it doesn’t matter where you run to, I’ll chase after you.”

“Then don’t give me a reason to run.”

Sliding his hand to my neck, he grasps my nape, and his lips move near mine. “I’ll give you a reason to run, but I’ll give you a reason to stay too.”

“Stay?” I ask, his lips tenderly kissing mine. “Creed, stop. You know the deal. And you knew it before last night. This is temporary.”

“Sweet, sweet lies. You’re telling me and yourself.”

“You should know.”

His mouth drops to my neck. I grip his jacket, holding him in place as his hands move under my skirt. Grasping my ass, he presses against me. “Touché.”

Suddenly his hands release me, and he grabs the doorknob, pulling the door open wide as I step aside. He motions for me to step out into the now empty corridor. “Let’s go to class.”

Class? He planned that shit, and I see the confirming smirk. He got me all freakin’ worked up, and now I’m horny as fuck. He is too, and anyone could tell since he makes no move to hide his rock-hard cock. But his ass knows I won’t break and admit I want more. Not here for sure. It’s bad enough I’m already fanning the flame, screwing him in an empty classroom would be igniting a fire. And I already fear I’m dealing with an inferno I won’t ever be able to extinguish.

Weird. Not completely, but something is so off about him. And that’s saying a lot being that I’ve known Creed is unhinged since day one. But I’m going with the flow today. I don’t know what else to do at this point because it feels like a tidal wave is headed our way soon enough.

“Let’s go sit over here.” Creed nods to the table where Beau is waving him over.

Yeah. No. Not going with that flow. “You go ahead. I’ll catch ya later.”

I head over to my usual spot and take a seat, not realizing that Creed followed until he’s sitting beside me. And unfortunately, Beau is headed over too. Great. Because I needed something else to add to the wave today.

“Dude, why the fuck we have to sit here?” Beau drops his tray on the table, food spilling over the side as he glares at me.

“You’re more than welcome to sit elsewhere,” I say before taking a bite of my pizza slice. One that’d be much better if he would get lost.

“Can’t. My boy is too deep in that twat to part for a few seconds.”

“Shut the fuck up,” is all Creed says, and Beau lets out a snicker. Thankfully, he does shut up when Armani sits next to him, her arms folded across her chest, a pout on her mouth. It’s soon a smile as Beau wraps his arms around her, attempting to kiss her as she playfully shoves him back. But her actions don’t match her tone. “Don’t. You’re still not off the hook.” Armani looks to Creed. “You either.”

“What’d I do?” Creed asks nonchalantly.

“We’ll talk about it later. I want to focus on you right now.” Beau’s lighthearted comments would be more convincing if he didn’t glance to me quickly. If I’m not mistaken, there’s a hint of nervousness.

And apparently Armani picks up on it too. “Why can’t we talk about it now?”

“Come on, babe. I said I was sorry.”

I bet he has to say that a lot.

She rolls her eyes at him before turning to Creed. “I don’t believe either of you. So it probably is pointless, but I’m tired of the gossip getting out of hand. And it doesn’t help when you’ve bailed on me every night for your friend.”

Beau leans over, whispering something in her ear that makes her laugh as she glances to me. “What?”

“Beau said you bailed on his boy, so he had to wipe up his tears.” Armani spills the secrets as Beau attempts to tickle her. A teasing gesture if I didn’t know for a fact that he’s just trying to get her to stop talking because there are a few nights I can guarantee Beau wasn’t with Creed. And even when he helped him pull his stupid clown stunt, he was fuckin’ a girl in the process.

“That’s funny because I was with Creed last night. But I did run out this morning.” I give Creed a quick glance, but he isn’t ready to joke about it. Turning back to Armani, I ask, “What’s the gossip about?”

“Stupid shit,” Beau mumbles, standing from his seat. “Let’s go get some cupcakes.”

Armani stays seated, taking a bite of her pizza. “I’m good. You go,” she tells him then looks to me. “You know, the usual. Beau was screwing some girl in the bathroom. Oh, and some girl was at his house last night.”

Shit. I shouldn’t. It’s not technically my business. But damn, I’d want to know. “So, you guys are exclusive?”
