CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

@QweenPandora

Should we change #LostAngel’s name to #SpeedDemon?

Here’s footage of her racing out of Cypress Pointe, but no update where she’s headed. Now, I totally understand needing a change of scenery after #TheSubstitute’s explosive reveal, but is driving that fast with your son in the car really the move? You know, after being accused of child endangerment and all?

Just a thought.

Anyway, wonder what #MrSilver has to say about this…

Later, peeps :)

What the fuck?

My phone’s in my hand, dialing Lexi before production even clears the set. I’ve been filming all day and apparently missed some bullshit Tiffany said that has Lexi speeding away from the city.

Straight to fucking voicemail.

“Shit!”

I dial again, then again, and again. Still no answer.

I rake a hand through my hair, pacing, panicking as people weave around me, breaking down camera equipment and lights while my heart pounds against my ribs.

“Where the hell are you, Lex?”

My mind races, trying to piece together a puzzle I didn’t even know existed five seconds ago. I sprint toward the dressing room to change and figure out how to get home as quickly as possible.

I slip out of the clothes from the shoot, scrolling to Cliff’s contact as I zip my bag.

“Golden.”

“I need to be on a plane tonight.”

“We already have you booked for tomorrow morning. That’s not good enough?”

“No. The sooner the better.”

“Everything okay? You’re scaring me.” His tone’s different now. Like he’s taking my call more seriously.

“I just… something happened, and I can’t spend another night in L.A. Can you make that happen?”

I hear him already clicking around on his laptop. “Consider it done. I’ll shoot you the updated info in a few.”

“Thanks.”
