“Daddy said he’d take me to the park after lunch.”

“That sounds like a blast!”

It’s taking everything in me not to sound flustered.

“And if you get right in the tub after dinner, there might be time to play the racing game,” I tell him.

“Yay! Wait.” He pauses, and I arch a brow. “With you or with Daddy?”

“Well, Daddy’s gotta help Grandpa Benny with something later, so it’ll just be you and me.” I hold in a laugh when he tilts his head. “Is that a problem?”

“It’s just that… Daddy’s better than you.”

My mouth falls open, and Sterling nearly spits out lemonade.

“Excuse me?”

“It’s just because you don’t stay on the road all that good.”

This little traitor.

“Kid’s got a point,” Sterling agrees. “You do kinda suck at video games, Lex.”

I punch his arm before he even gets the whole sentence out.

“Well, we’ll just have to see about that.”

Jax glances out the window as a cheeky grin lights up his face. “Guess so.”

Sterling’s still laughing as he starts the engine and pulls off, heading back toward the clinic. Despite the insult I just endured from the world’s tiniest little monster, I have to be honest with myself.

I had two options for lunch this afternoon, and although it felt like a tough decision to make at the time, there’s no doubt in my mind that… I chose right.

And if I had to do it over, I’d choose this again.

@QweenPandora

Damn. Lunch seemed incredibly crowded today.

Sources tell me #LostAngel was spotted leaving the clinic with #TheGoodDoctor, only for #MrSilver and his adorable mini-me to pull up and derail their plan entirely.

And where did everyone’s favorite almost-family head next? A food truck they frequented often back in the day. Witnesses say they looked VERY comfortable sharing fries, drinks, and a few laughs.

So, tell me…

Are we witnessing the relighting of an old flame? Or are we misreading the signs altogether?

Oh, I definitely have an opinion, but I want to hear yours first. Drop them down in the comments.

Later, peeps :)
