Icalled in sick the morning after Kyle gave me a split lip. Lucky for me, if you could say that, I didn't bruise a lot. I managed to cover the remaining fading bruise under my lip, with some full coverage make-up. After five days of healing, and another incident with him, I needed to get back to work. I couldn't be in that house anymore.

On my way to work, I took out my phone, wanting to check out my social media app ‘LiveTok', and see if any of my bookish friends were online right now. I had made friends in a book community online. At first it was out of desperation for human connection, to not have to leave my house for socializing, because I didn’t want to give Kyle more ammo to start arguments. But it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. I made so many amazing friends.

We hang out in our Lives all the time, everyone is doing their own thing, writing books, editing, narrating, reading, washing dishes… We were like a big crazy family. Sometimes I hang out with them while I worked. My boss didn't mind at all because my job is always done without any issues.

I opened the app and saw my friends: @GiorgioBeans, @TristanFinally and @HadiesPrime are on, and are already editing books, narrating, crafting and who knows what else. It was impressive and insane. I couldn't even list everything they do. It would take me hours, but I was so proud of ALL of them, not just the three of them! I requested to join, I could tell they had just come online, since people were only just starting to trickle in. @Spawn came on, needing company while writing his next fantasy MM novel called “Shadow Daddies”, and I was excited to read it. @Finn came on coloring his adult coloring books.

“Hey guys, how is everyone doing?” I greeted, walking into ‘Liam’s Baked Goods’ bakery, where I worked.

“Hey S”

“Hi Sam,” people from the Live and bakery greeted me, and I chuckled. I waved to Liam, my boss, standing at the counter making my way to the back.

In the kitchen, I set my phone on a tripod and got ready for work, listening to my friends talk and laugh on the Live. I’m a baker, it’s been my dream since childhood to one day own my own bakery. I got a job at the bakery, right out of high school. I always loved baking because my Baka Mila, who was born and raised in Serbia, loved to bake with me. She taught me everything I knew.

My parents made sure I knew where my roots were, and spoke Serbian in our home, so I was fluent in both Serbian and English. I was born a month after they moved to the USA, in 1999.

They moved to the US because they were running away from the war. We visited relatives there every summer break, and that's where I developed a taste for Serbian baked goods. In Belgrade, the capital of Serbia where my parents were from, there were bakeries on every corner. They had more savory than sweet stuff in the bakeries. Cakes are usually found in dessert shops. Baka Mila made me anything I wanted when I visited her home, just one town over from me.

I started out preparing the crust for the pies I needed to make today, then moved on to the chocolate muffins, they always sold out so fast. I was the happiest when I was here, but my mind was not quiet lately, even at work. Kyle has been drinking more and more in the last year. I was getting more resigned that this was now my life. Spent in fear, making myself small, invisible at home, not leaving the house in case he thinks I was doing something bad.

After the incident where he split my lip, I stayed in the bathroom the whole night, I even dozed off leaning on the toilet bowl. Kyle woke me by nudging me with his foot like a dog.

“Get up Sam stop being dramatic, you can't possibly think you can behave the way you did? Smiling at that guy, disrespecting me in that way and getting away with it’’ he huffed.

“I’m sorry Kyle” I said quietly. Looking down at my hands still smudged with dried blood from wiping my face during the night.

“Get up off the floor and clean yourself, you are a mess. You might want to call in sick if you don't want to explain your actions that got you into this predicament” He instructed me, turning away and leaving for work. I did what he said and stayed out of his way for a few days.

Until last night...

He came home drunk from the bar, he had gone out with his colleagues after work. I heard him stumble in and I tried to pretend I was asleep, hoping he would just pass out. But he took his clothes off and crawled in the bed behind me. He stank of beer and cigarettes, breathing down my neck. I should have known what was coming, that I wouldn't be able to avoid him for too long, and should have been prepared like I usually am. I stretch myself daily and shove lube in my hole because he doesn't care enough to prep me. And last night I regretted it. He pulled my pj's and boxers down and told me to stick my ass out, there was no point in pretending I was asleep anymore and I obeyed. Sticking my ass up, he shoved my head roughly into my pillow, held me there and just rammed himself inside me.

I didn't cry even though the pain was unreal, I didn't whimper, I wasn't hard, I wasn't human anymore. It was easier just to think I was his personal cock sleeve. He was physically bigger than me, but his cock was under average size, it didn't make it hurt any less…

Sex was enjoyable the first two or three times we had it. When we first got intimate he was visibly bothered that I… a little twink, had a bigger and thicker cock than him. He started being more aggressive sexually so fast after that, almost like he was trying to be more dominant and more masculine because of the size difference. I knew I was quite endowed but I never cared about it, and couldn't understand why he did either.

I was startled out of these flashbacks when a few voices called my name.

“S!”

“SAM!” their voices getting increasingly louder.

I looked towards my phone, my vision clearing from the daze I was apparently in. I smiled at them, trying to mask the shit that just went on in my head.

“What's wrong S?” @TristianFinally asked with concern in his voice.

“Are you ok man?” multiple voices said.

“Oh no! Is he crying?” @Devilique asked, from the chat in the bottom section of the Live, we call ‘The basement’.

“Yeah, sorry, I'm so sorry guys I phased out.” I muttered sheepishly, shifting on my feet and wincing in pain, from Kyle's brutal treatment from last night.

“Don't apologize S, you worried us for a minute there, you looked ready to cry. Did something happen? Do you need to talk about it?” @GiorgioBean sounded worried.

“You know we are here for you” @AlbeeGee typed in the basement. I grinned, truly now, despite how utterly broken I felt. How lucky am I to have so many people I care about, caring for me. “Yes guys, I promise, I just didn't sleep well last night” It was only a half truth. I didn't sleep a wink after Kyle rutted into me so forcefully, I bled.

When he finished and slipped out of me with a grunt, he fell asleep within minutes. It's not my first rodeo. I got up holding in tears to clean myself, applied ointment and went to the kitchen, I made a cup of herbal tea, and sat sideways on the sofa staring at my reflection on the TV till the morning.
