I'm different.

Gold explodes from my fingertips, brilliant and warm, with that strange new red flickering along the edges.

Damian inhales sharply.

I don't even need an incantation.

I simply want. And my magic answers.

Clothes disappear in a rush of red-gold light.

His.

Mine.

All of them.

Damian stares at me. I grin.

“I'm getting better at that.”

“Better?”

His gaze travels slowly over me before returning to my eyes.

“Little Witch, you're fucking terrifying.”

A laugh bursts out of me.

“Good.”

His expression changes. Something hungry flashes across his face, but underneath it is something else.

Pride. In me. And Goddess, that feels almost as intoxicating as his desire.

Because my magic isn't failing. It isn't broken. It isn't weak. It's alive.

For the first time in my life, I can feel it everywhere. In my fingertips.

My blood.

My bones.

A warm current moves through me, waiting for direction instead of fighting every command I give it.

Maybe Damian's Devil didn't simply reveal something about him. Maybe it revealed something about me too.

That thought should scare me. It doesn't. Not tonight. Tonight, I don't want answers.

I just want him.

Damian stands in front of me, all hard muscle and supernatural power, his wings rising behind him. I know what he is capable of. And I know he can handle me.

He already has.

But more importantly? I know he'll stop if I ask. I know he'll listen.

That changes everything.
