“She did.”

“And no one is taking any of it away from me.”

His hands flex on my hips and I whimper at how good he feels filling me, holding me.

“No one would dare.”

I narrow my eyes.

“Because I said so.”

A slow smile spreads across his face.

“Because you fucking said so.”

“Good answer.”

Something happened to me when Damian claimed me. But suddenly I'm not convinced he created anything.

Maybe he opened a door. Maybe the bond broke something that had been holding my power down. Maybe Aunt Margarita knew more about me than my mother ever did.

I also know this—I am not alone. I have a mate. And he loves me.

I look at Damian.

“We have a lot to figure out.”

He pulls me against him.

“Tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow.”

And whatever is waking inside me? That belongs to me too.

“Damian,” I moan when he starts to kiss my neck, “Damian, please, I want you to claim me again.”

His eyes snap to mine.

“Belinda—”

“This time with my eyes wide open.”
