Maybe if I act like I’m in the know already, he’ll let something slip.

He grins and glances around like he doesn’t want anyone else to hear. “Yeah. It’s going to be epic.”

“How epic?” I arch an eyebrow and then pout down at my dress. “I’d hate for anything to happen to my dress. It would ruin my mood. I don’t want our evening spoiled.”

He smirks and his gaze returns to my breasts. “Don’t worry. I’ll help you out of your dress later, babe. I’m sure it won’t get ruined unless I rip it off you.”

I manage not to roll my eyes at the promises this asshole won’t know how to keep. “What’s going to happen?”

“I’ve got you covered, babe.” He chuckles and glances toward the ceiling. The lights are off, so anything could be planted up there. As I follow his gaze, he says, “What about it? Are you going commando like me?”

I squint into the darkness of the ceiling of the gymnasium. “A lady never tells.”

His thumbs run along the sides of my hips. “No one would mistake you for a lady.”

I smile and cup his jaw. “I never asked to be treated like one.”

His grin grows, but I need to know more. I want to know exactly what they have planned. But I don’t think Alex will be the one to spill. Maybe I can convince one of the other guys.

Our dance ends with me hot and bothered. Eli passes me off into Jack’s waiting arms as the next slow dance starts.

“How’s your night been, sweetheart?”

“Magical.” I touch the necklace hanging against my breastbone. The gift is a sweet gesture that I’m always going to remember. I meet his dark blue eyes. “Whose idea was the necklace?”

Jack smirks and drags me in tight against him. “All of ours. I noticed you didn’t really have a lot of jewelry with you. When I mentioned it to the guys, we wanted to get you something to remember tonight.”

“I don’t think tonight is going to be forgettable.” I glance toward where Tanner was before on the sidelines. But my gaze stalls on him and Angela dancing a few feet away from us. It’s easy to forget all the other people surrounding us when I’m in my guy’s arms, but I need to be more aware.

Jack turns me and moves us to the other side of the dance floor. “You don’t need to worry about him. We’re going to take him down.”

“How?” I meet Jack’s gaze. I mean, what haven’t they already taken from him? That video of the girl was enough to remind people he’s not an innocent in this, but it’s not enough to get him arrested or even expelled.

The guy got caught with drugs on school property and is still here.

“We probably already have what we need to take him down. There’s definitely some underage girls in his collection, but if not, there are people in town who can help us. Not the local law enforcement.”

I give him a questioning look. “Do you mean the Feds that William was talking about?”

Jack shakes his head. “If they’re here, that’s good too, but...”

He glances off to the side, but before I can follow his line of sight, he spins me again, making me almost dizzy and giddy.

“Jack.” A laugh bursts out of me.

His smile is devastating when he stops spinning me and just holds me close. “Top secret, sweetheart. Just know we have a friend who might be able to deal with our pest problem.”

Fuck, I hope so. I lean my head against his strong heart. Not being alone in this would make it so much easier. Sure, we have the support of some of our parents, but that doesn’t mean this will end well for us.

I just want my guys and me to be safe. The music fades and a fast song begins. I love this song. Jack takes my hand like he’s going to lead me back to the table, but I shake my head and grin.

When I begin to move to the beat, he comes back and holds my hips, moving in time with me. I turn to see Kenz dancing her way over to us. She’s wearing a red dress that hugs her curves and falls above her knees. Her dark hair is piled on her head in an elegant twist.

When I hold out my hand to her, she takes it. Jack lets me turn to her, and she closes the distance between us.

“You look amazing!” she yells over the music at the same time I yell, “I love your dress!”
