She squeaked when he hauled her up his body so he could take her lips. Within a minute, it quickly burned out of control. He cupped the back of her head to hold her steady while his other hand ran down her back to cup the cheek of her ass.

He tightened his grip when she wiggled to get closer to him.

He pulled his mouth away from hers. “Woman, if you don’t want to be under me, stop moving.”

She froze.

He chuckled and squeezed her.

She raised her head. “Hey, who won?”

“I’m not sure. I fell asleep.”

She looked toward the DVR for the time. “Jayden will be coming home soon.”

He lifted her off him before he sat up. He tossed the blanket they used over the back of the sofa and then stood.

“Do you still want to stay tonight for a movie and pizza?”

“Yes. If I’m still invited?”

She smiled. “Yes, you’re still invited.”

“Can I get a cup of coffee?”

“Yup, come on back to the kitchen.”

Jayden got home a short time later. He stopped short as he came into the kitchen.

“Oh, hey.”

Beth walked to the boy and hugged him. “I missed you.”

Jayden snorted. “Mom, I was gone for less than twenty hours.”

“Nineteen hours too long.”

Jayden rolled his eyes and then looked at Roman. “It’s nice to see you again.”

“You, too. Did you have fun at the party?”

“Yeah, Frankie’s sister bugged us a lot, but otherwise, it was fun.”

Beth grinned. “I think Susie likes you, honey.”

“Mom, I’m not old enough to want to date.”

“Oh, I know that. I think twenty-four is a good age,” Beth said and took a sip of her coffee.

Jayden chuckled and then looked at Roman. “Help me out, man.”

He held his hands up. “Nope. I’m staying out of it.”

“You’re no help,” Jayden complained.

Roman waited until Beth walked to the sink before he faced Jayden and mouthed, “I’ll work on her for you.”

Jayden snorted out a laugh and pretended it was a cough when his mom turned.
