seeing as we’ve only been able to identify five of the seven oats, yes
A minute goes by, and he doesn’t reply. I grow antsy and type what I’m really thinking.
Annalise Harris:
you look to be having a lot of fun
His next message takes seconds to appear.
Wasted_Words:
The shows have been great. I’m still getting used to playing for a big audience. The Rydells are great guys. But I’m exhausted. I don’t know how Zee is doing it. He’s out after every show.
My heart begins to pound harder.
Annalise Harris:

Wasted_Words:
Not really. I usually go out for a beer or two and then sneak back to the motel to write or watch a movie.
Annalise Harris:
Is that what you’re doing now?
Wasted_Words:
I wrote for a bit but I’ve been scrolling the last twenty minutes for something to watch. I’m at the point where I need to pick something or give up and go to bed. What are you doing?
I consider lying but don’t.
Annalise Harris:
I’m wrapped in a blanket watching a movie too.
Wasted_Words:
The Hudson’s Bay blanket?
My hands instinctively pull the wool tighter.
Annalise Harris:
The very one
Wasted_Words:
That’s my napping blanket. It’s a good one.
Without thinking, I pull the wool to my nose and sniff, and I swear there’s the faintest trace of him.
Wasted_Words:
What are you watching? I’ll watch it with you.
My face turns red, which is silly, seeing as he can’t actually see the screen. I can easily lie, but he texts again before I get the chance.
