“Your favorite.”

Jensen takes the remaining cupcake topped with half a strawberry. “This one is definitely mine.” He peels the wrapper away and takes a huge bite, moaning like he does right after he comes. “Now, that’s what I’m talking about. Fuck, that’s good.”

Bo takes a more careful bite of the lemon one, chewing slowly, his eyes never leaving mine. “Tastes like you were thinking about us,” he says, swiping the crumbs from his lips with the tongue that knows my body inside out.

Heat crawls up my neck. “Maybe a little.”

“We’ve been thinking about you,” Jensen says.

“Lemon’s great, but nothing beats the taste of Brandy.” Bo smiles, and I blush hard.

“That right?”

“Yeah, baby. You’re hot on the tip of my tongue and sweeter than frosting.”

I cover my face, embarrassed by Bo’s sudden brazenness.

“You staying for a while?” Jensen takes my hand, making it impossible for me to leave.

“Sure. For a while.”

We end up on the big couch, with me tucked between them, and the TV playing a quiz show. The host is overly cheerful, and the questions are the kind that sound easy until you actually try to answer them.

“What is the capital of Australia?” the host asks.

“Sydney!” Jensen shouts immediately.

Bo shakes his head. “It’s Melbourne, genius.”

“No way. Sydney’s the big one with the opera house.”

“Doesn’t make it the capital.” Bo glances at me. “Back me up, sweetheart.”

I laugh. “I think it begins with C.”

The correct answer flashes on screen: Canberra.

Jensen throws his hands up. “Who the hell even knows that?”

“People who paid attention in school,” Bo says dryly. “Like Brandy.”

“I got one letter. Can’t have been concentrating that much.”

Two questions later, the host asks which planet has the most moons.

“Jupiter!” they yell at the same time, then turn to glare at each other.

“I said it first,” Jensen claims.

“You absolutely did not.”

“I did. Brandy heard me.”

I hold up both hands, still laughing. “I heard both of you at the same second. Tie.”

They keep going like that for the next twenty minutes, shouting answers with complete confidence, arguing over who was closer, and occasionally looking at me for backup I refuse to give. Jensen gets especially dramatic when he misses a sports question, clutching his chest like he’s been mortally wounded. Bo mutters “unbelievable” under his breath and takes another sip of his beer.

I laugh more than I have in weeks, tucked between them with their voices overlapping and the show flickering on the screen.
