I close my eyes as more tears spill over, the pain growing with every tandem thrust from them both.

My mind goes blank, and the world goes fuzzy, as once more I am turned into nothing more than an object to be used.

The remaining human parts of me shatter, as I retreat to that happy place in my mind, trying desperately to find the balance once more between pain and acceptance.

As they continue to use my body and show how not safe I am, despite the sham of being the heir, more pieces of my soul break off, and I get lost in the darkness…

Imake it to the bathroom, turning the shower on hot, before I fall to my knees in front of the toilet, gasping. My mind automatically plays the morning out from the beginning, forcing me to relive it all over again.

“Boss is giving you an extra reward. He’s not happy Teo failed. It’s time to put him in his place and remind him what happens when you fuck up.” Dominic smiles as the words hit me, tiny invisible needles drawing blood that can’t be seen, infecting me with a darkness that can never be undone.

Shaking, I purge what’s in my stomach. Hoping it’ll help. Tears drip down as I pray for relief, yet none can be found as what I’ve done comes in snippets faster than I can control.

“Do you have a plan or are we just fucking him up?” I ask casually, not willing to show the fear clawing at my heart.

Snorting, Dominic tosses out, “I plan on getting his ass. As for you, rape his throat. If he does a good enough job, maybe you can break his ass in, too. Impress me, newbie, because trust me, Teo won’t take it easy when you’re the one on the bottom.”

I shudder, knowing that’s the truth. Especially after I crossed such a line today. The shock that blossomed in Teo’s eyes, the fucking betrayal… My stomach revolts again as sweat begins to drip down, mixing with the tears.

It’s fucking brutal. The way Dominic chuckles darkly as he attacks Teo. I force myself forward, helping him pin Teo down. My mind shuts down, unable to accept what I’m doing.

I go through the motions, accepting the spit from Teo. When he bites me, I’m tempted to fucking choke him, but I bring myself back, just enough to follow through on the objective. Instead, I backhand him casually. Like it’s nothing—when it’s fucking everything.

Any pity inside me withers at the hatred Teo throws toward me. He can’t be my friend. I can’t save him. Hell, I can’t even save myself. Did Allesandro know this would happen? Did my best friend set me up to be tortured?

I shake my head, that thought invading my mind again. I flinch from it. There’s no way Il Padrone would do that… is there?

Eventually, there’s nothing left in my stomach. I rinse out my mouth, carefully brushing my teeth before shakily getting to my feet and making it to the shower. I let the hot water beat down on me. Fuck, I wish it was boiling. I may die, but damn, I could use it to strip some layers of my skin away. Nothing will ever let me feel clean again.

“Come on, newbie. Switch with me. I want to see you take his ass. And more, I want to see you come. Bonus if you can get him to come during it, too.”

I don’t bare my teeth at him, but it’s fucking close. Instead, I move back, listening to the gasps of Teo. He’s gone quiet. To that place I know all too well, where you shut down. And it’s exactly why Dominic wants me to make him come.

To bring him around. To force him to enjoy this. To know he’s as fucked up now as the rest of us. These are lessons already branded in my soul, but I force myself to go ahead with it.

Words fall from my tongue, feeding more darkness to Teo’s mind. Worse, it’s not nearly as hard as I thought it would be. To find my pleasure. To make him find his. All of it done, as Dominic watches me, urging me to go further—to go harder.

The water starts to cool, spurring me into motion. Hell, I have no idea how long I’ve stood in this damn shower, taunted with pasts that keep merging. From here. From when Allesandro first broke me. From his fucking father’s sadistic pleasures.

And now, it’s come full circle. This time, I’m someone else’s monster. And the weight… it tries to strangle me. Part of me wants to give into it, but I can’t. Not until I take these fuckers down. Especially as that last part of the morning slides into me…

Dominic slaps me on the back after we come out of Teo’s room. “He’s going to be feeling that for a while. I have to say, I didn’t think you’d have it in you. But damn. You were vicious. I was hoping I’d get your ass, too, but I can’t lie. This was fun.”

Whistling, he walks away, smug pleasure radiating from him. I force myself to walk toward my bedroom, to not run. Because there, buried in a compliment, is the threat that’s been held over my head. Only this time, I know exactly what awaits me.

That last memory slips away, although it reverberates in my head. Fuck. I reach out my hand to turn off the water, unsurprised at the way it shakes. By the time I make it out of the stall, I’m breathing hard, as if I’m overcoming weeks of sickness. The problem? It’s a sickness that lives in my head. An invisible, yet permanent mark that can’t ever be expunged.

I dry off, forcing my thoughts to disappear. I slip into some sleep pants and then walk toward the bed. As I lay down, desperately trying to fall asleep, I try to recall the good times in my life. Yet, they’ve all disappeared on me. And all I see is the long stretch of darkness.

The only color comes as the darkness eats at my consciousness. Blue eyes sparkling in tears, pain, and hatred. And then dissolving into that state where everything shuts down… losing every bit of vibrancy they could ever hold. For that, there will be an absolution when I’m called to the other side.

I may save the lives of others when I finally burn this place to the fucking ground, but I sacrificed my soul to do it. Is it a fair trade-off? Maybe the future will tell. Right now, it doesn’t seem possible.

Iwake up on the floor. Everything hurts, from my hair down to my toes. It can be hours later or minutes, I don’t know. Time is elusive after such things. I have huge swaths of those early days missing from memory.

Groaning, I take stock of my arms and legs, deciding I can move them. I know from experience that standing now is a bad idea, so I force myself up on my knees, teeth gritted as every movement makes my body ache. Slowly, carefully, I crawl to the ensuite. The cool tile beneath my hands and knees is a blessing as sweat coats my skin.

Crawling across the bathroom, I manage to fumble with the taps of the bath, getting it running as I force myself to the shower. Using the walls, I stand, wobbling slightly on my feet, but I stay upright, and that’s all I’m going for right now.
