“Enough females ogling what’s ours.” The words were calm, certain, possessive.

Lucien and I breathed out in a needy daze. “Yeah. Enough.”

Ruby licked our artery, and I wasn’t sure who moaned—Lucien or me. Or both.

“We’re marking you.”

Oh Moon Goddess, thank you. I’ll build you a temple on every mountain peak for pairing her with me.

“Mm-hmm, yeah. Mark us, please,” we begged.

There had never been another who could dominate me, and fuck if I enjoyed it.

Panting, Lucien looked at her…happy. Shivers of anticipation ran down our spine and to the tip of our cumbersome tail that was sweeping the ground so hard it flattened the grass.

Ruby leaned over Lucien, holding him beneath her despite the size difference, and yanked his muzzle toward her with sudden fierceness. She snarled, the sound sending a shock wave through my system, and I almost spilled there and then.

When the flesh of my neck tore under her long fangs, a white explosion detonated through my throat and euphoric heat flooded every corner of me. Fuck, I was in heaven, where clouds were made of sparks and melodies of her sweet growls played.

“Ours.”

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

LOGAN

My eyes snapped open to a starry sky.

Flashes of recent events bombarded my head. Goddess, if it was all a dream, I will make it a reality. Our reality.

My body still burned, shivering with nasty heat flashes as I rubbed a hand over my sweaty forehead, then dragged it down my face until it stopped there. On the mark on my neck. A proud grin tugged at my lips and I blew out a sigh. Fucking finally.

I felt amazing. Complete. Proud to show I was hers.

Having those cute tiny fangs puncture my neck was the best experience of my life.

Speaking of cute tiny things…where was she?

I rolled onto my elbows and scanned the area.

Tall trees of the valley surrounded the rocky field I was in. I heard the wind bothering the leaves, the hum of insects, and nocturnal bird calls.

Looking down, I saw blue shorts on me that were very tight and not mine. Bunny Doc must’ve put them on me. I hoped she looked. A grin threatened to emerge at the idea of my doctor mate trying to be professional.

Something crunched underneath my palms. Leaves and moss. A mattress? There was also a chunky roll of moss and grass supporting my head that seemed to be serving as a pillow. Twigs surrounded me in a circle.

I plucked pine needles from my hair and blinked around.

Did Ruby make me a nest? Or a ritual altar? Either worked for me. Especially if I was the offering and she the collector.

A rustle in the underbrush drew my attention.

I smelled her before I saw her.

She was my splash of color in a dark forest. Her petite form strode to me in a loose pale yellow shirt that fell to her knees—something she must have found in some rogue hideout. I frowned at the thought that it might belong to a male, but the irritation vanished when I noticed her damp hair piled on top of her head, a fat bumblebee investigating her messy bun.

Drool filled my mouth; my temperature rose. Easy, boy.

My nose detected wild mint, the resin in the evergreens, and a pond behind the birch trees where she must’ve gone swimming. Water gurgled down a river somewhere. No trace of humans or werewolves. Just us.
