“I’m going to smack those guys,” Madison said, after Sanchez had disarmed the trap and she’d moved the rabbit and his vegetables to the garden, where he could enjoy them in peace. “Those fireworks would have scared that poor bunny to death.”
“Yeah,” Sanchez said, gathering up the shopping bags he’d dropped and going to open the cabin door. “Although, you’d think they’d have realized that I’d be with you to disarm the trap—”
The truth of that—and the fact that the rabbit had therefore been a diversion—sank in just a split second too late. Sanchez had already pushed the door open.
There was sproinnnng noise and bright flash of light that half-blinded him, and then something white and furry jumped at Sanchez with a high-pitched scream. Sanchez dropped the shopping bags, pivoted and caught the creature with his forearm, knocking it out of the air. As it hit the floor, he whipped out a knife and threw, impaling it on the floor.
Madison crowded in behind him and flipped on the light. In the middle of the living room, next to some kind of spring-loaded catapult, was a large stuffed rabbit whose face had been altered into a toothy snarl, painted ‘blood’ covering the muzzle.
It now had Sanchez’s knife sticking out of it, but it was still kicking its mechanized legs and giving wheezing rabbit shrieks.
Madison looked at the fucking stuffed rabbit, looked at Sanchez’s face, and immediately collapsed against the doorjamb, laughing hysterically.
Sanchez, pissed off, marched over and pulled his knife out of the rabbit. He raised his foot to stomp it into oblivion. Fucking Boomer.
“Don’t!” Madison ran over and snatched the thing off the floor, hugging it to her chest. “Don’t kill my Murder Bunny.”
It still kicked feebly against her chest, and she turned it over and searched the fur on its underside for an ‘off’ switch.
“Don’t you give that thing belly rubs,” Sanchez grumbled. “It deserves death.”
“I love it,” Madison said, petting the bunny, which she’d finally been able to turn off. “It’s badass. You’re just mad that Boomer and the guys punked you with a wabbit diversion, so you wouldn’t suspect the real trap.”
Sanchez shook his head disgustedly, but a tiny smile might or might not have been creeping onto his face. “Okay, it was possibly marginally funny.”
Madison was still hugging the stupid rabbit. She said, “What I want to know is, how the hell did they get a stuffed mechanized rabbit since this morning when they found out I was one? No way did they just happen to have this lying around.”
Enlightenment hit him. “Fucking Switch,” he said. “I knew there was something bogus about his story.”
Madison gaped at him. “You’re saying he flew all the way to Lake Placid and back just to punk us? Damn. That’s prank dedication, right there. I hope he got pictures, because that’s a lot of time and helicopter fuel wasted if he didn’t get to see your face.”
“He probably has a fucking drone out there right now, taking video.” He stomped out onto the front porch, right in the light, and gave the finger to the sky. “Fuck you all!” he yelled.
The sound of maniacal laughter came through the outdoor PA system. Madison started laughing all over again.
Sanchez walked back inside and shut the door—and the blinds, because of the drones. “Now I need to come up with something much better as revenge.”
“Ooh, can I help?” Madison asked. “I really want to prank those guys.”
He grinned at her. “Yes, you can help.” He pulled her to him, removing the bunny from between them and putting it on the kitchen counter. “But we’re gonna do it in the morning. Because we have much, much more important things to do now.”
He’d planned to fuck her real slow and leisurely, even better than last night. But it didn’t work. As soon as he got her clothes off, he was overcome by a desire so fierce it scared him.
He ravished every inch of her skin, lips and teeth and hands, claiming it with his kisses and his touch, needing to set her on fire and hear her beg for him.
He found the places no one had ever touched or kissed—the small of her back, the place between her shoulder blades, the curve of her hip, the roundness of her calf. He needed to make all of it his, and he did.
He brought her to the brink with his tongue and his hands, made her shatter apart and pulled her back together, and made her shatter again.
But she surprised him, like she always did. Exploring his body, finding the places he’d never been touched and never known he wanted to be. He felt his wolf rising, fur and fangs manifesting, but she kissed those like they were precious, and they melted back inside him again.
She explored all the planes and valleys of his body, making him so hot he thought he’d burst into flames, and when he felt her lips on his dick in soft kisses, he almost exploded in her hands.
And when she took him in her mouth, he felt like he’d been touched by the gods. She sucked and licked until he thought he was going to explode, and he wanted to be in her mouth and inside her soft core all at once, making her his, his, his—every part of her.
He pushed her down on the bed, pinning her shoulders, shoving between her thighs in his desperation. Her pussy was hot and slick and welcoming, and when he buried himself in her he had to just stop for a minute, right there, because there wasn’t anything better than this.
He sank down on her and wrapped her in his arms and kissed her with all the power of the things he couldn’t say, didn’t know how to say. She wrapped her arms and legs around him, pulling him in deep, deep, like she was accepting every part of him.
