Logan

No.

Who?

Is this what you’re doing tomorrow night?

You’re going on a date???

Oh yeah, the guy was bothered. This at least reassured her that Logan wasn’t having a hundred conversations with a hundred different ladies. Whatever she had felt from him during their kiss had been some genuine hunger. Logan probably needed a good push every now and then to get himself unstuck. And though River hadn’t decided if she was ready to start dating, she was interested in more kisses either way.

No. I’ve been having fun meeting people. I’m not just sitting around waiting for things to happen.

Logan

Well, you can’t bring a date to the event.

Am I not invited? I’m confused?

Logan

You’d be MY guest. I can’t believe this even needs to be said.

Ooooooh.

You sound very possessive of your guests. Are you always this way with guests or just me?

Logan

Why are you like this?!

So...you don’t want me to be your guest anymore?

Logan

No, I want you.

I mean, I want you to come.

As my guest. I want you to come as my guest.

Interesting. You are quite demanding with your guests, aren’t you?

Logan

Why do you make everything so difficult? Can you just come to the event with me and not put the pressure of it being a date? That’s all I want.

Okay. Fine. If that’s ALL you want.

Logan

And I want us to ride together in the same vehicle.

River laughed. It was so much fun giving Logan a hard time. He unraveled so easily.

Got it. Non-date riding in the same car together. Makes sense.
