‘What, the rude, arrogant wanker who’s never polite?’ Oscar chuckled.

‘I don’t have time for your shit.’ I huffed. ‘Let’s get down to business.’

‘Interesting choice of words…’ Seb grinned.

‘That’s it!’ Oscar leapt out of his seat, almost knocking his glass of water off the table.

‘That’s what?’ I frowned.

‘He got lucky!’ Oscar declared. ‘King of the Blue Balls must’ve finally got laid. That’s why he’s in such a good mood!’

‘Fuck off,’ I retorted, annoyed that my dickhead brother knew me so well.

‘That tracks,’ Heath said. ‘He’s less uptight.’

‘You’re calling me uptight?’ I raised an unimpressed brow.

‘Yes!’ Seb chimed in. ‘You’re right, Oz! He definitely seems more relaxed.’

‘About bloody time!’ Oscar sat back down. ‘We were getting worried. You’ve been a grumpy arsehole for too long. Well, grumpier than normal. After carrying around a year’s worth of spunk, your balls must feel ten stones lighter!’

They all erupted into raucous laughter.

‘So mature.’ I ground my jaw.

‘His poor right hand must be glad to finally get a break!’ Seb added.

‘Who was the lucky lady?’ Oscar asked. ‘Is she still alive or did you drown her with the back up in your bollocks? Poor woman must’ve felt like she’d been blasted with a hose! Death by sperm overload!’ He laughed and they all joined in.

‘Are you just going to take the piss out of my sex life or are we going to actually talk about business?’ I folded my arms like a petulant child.

‘I don’t know about you guys,’ Oscar replied, facing Seb and Heath, ‘but I’m happy to continue taking the piss out of Blake’s sex life! All those in favour, raise your hand and say aye.’

Seb and Heath promptly raised their hands and a chorus of aye vibrated around the room before they burst into fits of giggles again like a bunch of fucking immature teenagers.

‘Whatever happened to respecting your elders?’ I huffed. ‘We’ve got important stuff to discuss and that doesn’t include who I’m fucking.’

‘So there is someone?’ Seb asked.

‘For fuck’s sake.’ I rolled my eyes. ‘Yes, I had sex. Yes, I’m in a good mood. Big deal. Happy now?’

‘Is it serious?’ Seb asked.

‘No,’ I answered quickly, but my stomach tightened.

It wasn’t supposed to be serious, yet…

My weekend with Ellie was incredible.

I couldn’t remember the last time I’d enjoyed myself so much.

The sex was out of this world, but as crazy as it sounded, that wasn’t the only reason I’d had a great time.

I loved seeing her face light up. Not just as she walked around the museum, but also when I brought her brunch.

And after Ellie saw the cinema set up and those Percy Pig sweets, she looked at me like I’d just hung the moon.

As cheesy as it sounded, the way she snuggled up to me on the sofa whilst we watched those films made my heart inflate like a fucking hot air balloon.
