I was officially out of control.

It was me who created the rule about not fraternising with employees.

And for good reason.

Less than five minutes ago, Pandora had reminded me of how catastrophic breaking those rules could be.

Not that I needed a reminder after how badly she screwed me over.

That was yet another reason why I shouldn’t give Eleanor a second glance.

But I still couldn’t look away.

Knowing that she was attracted to me, made the pull even stronger.

I knew I shouldn’t want her.

But instead of being a deterrent, it only made me want her more.

ELLIE

Bloody hell.

Mr Devlin had arrived and he was looking at me.

Actually, he wasn’t looking.

He was staring.

His eyes were lasers burning holes into me.

He scanned me slowly from head to toe.

Then his gaze moved to my legs, before roaming up my thigh then shifting to my chest where they lingered.

Just when I thought he was going to look away, his eyes lingered some more.

I wasn’t quick off the mark when it came to men, but he was clearly checking me out.

In the end I didn’t need that see-through gown Joe had suggested. My boss was undressing me with his eyes.

It could be wishful thinking, but I got the impression that he wanted to devour me. And I’d willingly spread myself across the nearest table to allow him to do exactly that.

He strode towards me with his brothers following closely behind.

I swallowed hard as my heart somersaulted against my chest.

‘Oh my God,’ Dana whispered. ‘The Devlin brothers are here and Daddy Devlin’s coming over! Jesus. I didn’t think it was possible for them to look hotter than they do at the office, but I was wrong! Those tuxedos they’re wearing are wreaking havoc with my ovaries! Act natural!’ She rearranged her boobs in her dress, lifted her chin, then flashed a sultry smile. God I wished I had her confidence. ‘Hello, Mr Devlin, Mr Devlin and Mr Devlin!’ She addressed them each in turn. ‘I’m Dana. One of the Senior Content Writers.’

‘Hello, Dana,’ Oscar said. ‘Please, call me Oscar.’ He took her hand and kissed it, causing her to melt into a puddle. ‘And Eleanor.’ He turned to face me. ‘Lovely to see you again. How are you settling—’

‘Eleanor,’ my Mr Devlin jumped in. Well, obviously he wasn’t mine. I just meant he was the Devlin brother I worked the closest with. ‘Hello.’

‘Hello, Mr Devlin.’ I flashed a small smile. This was the first time I’d seen him since I’d embarrassed myself in his office so I still felt awkward.

God, he looked good. In a suit he looked incredible but this tux took his deliciousness to a whole other level.
