My confidence had grown professionally and personally.
Five weeks ago, I never would’ve considered propositioning a man. But now, I was seriously contemplating it.
Actually, I wasn’t contemplating whether or not I should. I’d decided to do it.
Dana said that if I wanted something I had to go for it.
And I wanted my boss.
I knew we had a connection.
So I wasn’t going to wait.
I was going to ask Mr Devlin if he still wanted me too.
And if he did, I would make things happen.

‘Ilike it,’ said Seb who was sitting directly opposite me in the meeting room.
I’d finally managed to get everyone together to discuss Eleanor’s app idea. I was conscious that it’d been a few weeks since she’d presented it to me, but with Oscar and Seb often travelling and working from our other offices, it was hard to schedule some time. But they’d stayed in London after the awards, so today was the perfect opportunity.
The awards.
We’d taken home a few gongs that night. Not the main prize, of course. That went to our competitor, for Debaucherous by Enigma Aura, just like Pandora had predicted, but a few smaller accolades had been scooped by Sated authors.
But it wasn’t the awards we’d won and the extra revenue that would generate that had been dominating my thoughts.
It was Eleanor.
I wanted her so badly that I was finding it hard to focus on anything.
The number of times I’d considered summoning her to my office was ridiculous.
I’d tried to think of a way to have her without causing any issues, but I’d come up short. She worked for me so it wasn’t allowed. Pure and simple.
But I wasn’t a man who liked taking no for an answer.
Of course, if she wasn’t interested in me, this wouldn’t be an issue. That was the only time that a no meant exactly that. Consent was important.
But knowing I wanted her just as much as she wanted me was like waving a red flag to a bull.
‘I reckon it’ll be a huge success,’ Oscar added. ‘Our celebrity mates would definitely get involved. Being paid to be the voice millions of women listen to whilst they get themselves off? Their egos would lap that shit up.’
‘Yes, Eleanor was keen to get some male celebrities involved,’ I said.
‘You fuck her yet?’ Oscar asked.
‘Watch your mouth!’ I spat back. ‘You can’t talk about employees like that!’
‘Didn’t hear a denial though.’ Seb raised a brow.
‘Please tell me you didn’t.’ Heath sighed. ‘You barely survived the Pandora controversy. Do you really want to give the board another reason to fire you?’
‘Course not.’
