"Are you going to the karaoke party at Scareoke this weekend?" He asks as he places the last chair onto the surface.

"I'm not sure. To be honest, I have no idea what party you're talking about," I laugh, putting my final chair up.

I follow him toward the back room where we can clock out. "Man, you have to come. It's going to be fun as hell. Everyone from the bar and restaurant will be there."

"I'll think about it," I tell him. "If I can study before then, I'll be there."

"Sounds good, man."

Talon and I are sitting beside one another when Professor Falcon hands us back our first quiz of the semester.

"I was pleasantly surprised by how well everyone did. Well, most people. You all are exceeding my expectations. Make sure to keep it up."

Professor Falcon hands me my quiz, and by the look on his face, I know I'm not one of the students he's talking about. My eyes automatically fall shut when I see the bright red C on the top of my paper. Fuck. I actually studied for this, too. Glancing over at Talon's paper, I smile when I see a red A at the top of his quiz.

"Damn, congrats," I tell him, reaching over and tapping his paper with my finger.

"How did you do?" He asks, leaning into my space. Vanilla overtakes my senses, and I inhale, loving the scent of him. The aroma transports me to a year ago when I was sucking his cock and all I could smell was cum and vanilla.

I casually try to adjust myself in my seat before answering. "Not too well. I thought I knew all the information, too. Ugh," I groan, tossing my head back against the chair. "I can't fail this class."

Talon's quiet for a few seconds before he blows out a long breath. "What would you think about us studying together? It would be easy to meet up since we share a space and I know a lot of this information already, so I can help you with what you're missing.

"Really?" I ask too excitedly. "You wouldn't mind studying with me?"

"Nah, it's no problem at all. I spend most of my time hitting the books, anyway.”

I want to ask him when he's studying because all I ever see is him in class, going to Bakeensteins or hooking up with people in our room, but I stay quiet. He's planning to help me, and hopefully, this can keep me on track. I need this class, and I can't afford to fail it when I'm so close to the finish line of getting my degree.

"Damn, I owe you. When can we get started? I don't want to fall behind."

Talon taps his pen against his chin, drawing my attention to his lips. God, those lips are plush and juicy. And they looked so pretty when they were wrapped around my dick.

"Tonight?"

"Huh?" I ask, dragging my gaze up to his eyes. "I missed that."

Talon chuckles, shaking his head. "I asked if you're free tonight. Or are you working at Zomb-Bar?"

“I have to work tonight,” I tell him, hating that I have to work. If I didn’t need the money badly, I would call in sick.

"Tomorrow?"

"Same," I sigh, slouching down in my seat. "I'm off Thursday, though."

"Thursday works. We can grab some food from the food court and then lock ourselves in the room and study for a few hours."

"Hell yeah, let's do it. It's a date." Talon stares at me quizzically, and I rush to clarify. "Not like a date, date or anything. It's a saying that some people say when they set something up."

"Yeah, I know," he laughs, rolling his eyes. "It's a date."

I would be lying if I said I hadn't been looking forward to tonight all week. Talon and I have been like passing ships in the night, only seeing each other every so often. He's such a fun guy to be around, and I know we can end up being great friends. But he's also smart as hell, and I'm so damn thankful he's willing to help me study for the next test we have coming up. Leaving the locker room, I pull up his contact info, stopping in my tracks.

Talon

Hey :)

Fuck, he sent that text after our night together and it went unanswered. God, I really hope he deleted our text thread, or I'm going to feel like an even bigger ass.
