It’s too much. It’s all too much. The feel of him, the smell of him, the animalistic sounds coming from him. It’s raw, just like the kiss. It’s us.

“Let go, Wren,” Matteo growls. “I can feel what the pressure of this jet and my cock is doing to you. My pretty little cunt has me in a vice grip. Fucking let go.”

Matteo picks up the pace, plowing in and out harder than he ever has before. The mix of his powerful thrusts and the water shooting against my clit sends me over the edge. My head falls back as I clamp down hard one final time, milking his cock, taking him over the edge with me. I feel everything. Every little pulse and throb and his release spills deep in me.

Neither one of us says anything for a while as we come down, both still riding the post-orgasm high.

“You good?” he asks between pants as he tries to catch his breath.

Good doesn’t even begin to describe the way I feel right now.

“I can’t feel my legs,” I slur, letting my head collapse on his shoulder.

Matteo lets out a rough, satisfied laugh. “It’s a good thing we’re in the water because I would have dropped you. I don’t think I have any come left.”

“Mmm. You continue to raise the bar every time. That cock of yours is seriously impressive,” I softly say as I start to drift off.

We stay like that for a while, me in his arms, head resting on his shoulder as he slowly softens inside me, his fingers lightly dancing up and down my spine. It isn’t until a chill caused by the nighttime air runs through me that he breaks the peaceful silence we had settled into.

“Let’s go upstairs and get cleaned up. I want to relax with you before I need to go away for a little bit.” Matteo kisses the top of my head as he pulls the head of his now-softened cock out of me.

“How long will you be gone?” I ask as my feet hit the pool floor.

“Depends on how long it takes. Maybe a week.”

“Where are you going?”

“I’m going hunting.”

Chapter

Forty-Six

MATTEO

The last thing I fucking wanted to do was leave Wren.

I think she thought I had business to take care of outside of Ravenna Heights, but I don’t. In truth, she’s a gorgeous distraction that makes me forget about the outside world when I’m around her.

A man in my line of work would kill to have that type of distraction to come home to every night. That’s why I intend to keep it. And to keep it, I need to fucking kill Christos.

Nicholas finally agreed to a one-on-one meeting. He claims he’s been out of the country because he’s had family business to deal with back home, but it’s just an excuse. Nicholas is known for evading confrontation. His second and third in command are the ones who fight his battles. Pussy.

“Do you think he’s going to be honest with you?” Alessio asks from the passenger seat. We’re currently parked outside of Nicholas’ mansion. Gio and Enzo are tailing in the car behind us.

“I think he will if he knows Gio will be the one to deal with him.” Unless he really is that stupid. “Let’s just get this fucking over with. The sooner I find Christos’ stupid ass, the sooner I can get back to Wren,” I sigh as I open my door and step out of the car.

Some of Nicholas’s men are already marking down the sidewalk toward our cars, each armed with an AR-15.

“You don’t think that’s a bit of an overkill?” I call out to them at the same time I hear Alessio mumble “Jesus fucking Christ” under his breath. I can hear the eye roll in his tone. I’m able to stifle my laugh, but I can’t say the same about the smirk. Nicholas has always thought he’s a bigger deal than he actually is. Also, dramatic. Very, very fucking dramatic.

“The boss trusts no one. Come, he is waiting,” the guy in the center says before turning back around the way he came from. The two men flanking him bring up the rear once Alessio and I walk past. “Are your other men coming?”

“No, they were stabbing people when I told them not to, so I told them to wait in the car.” Not a single laugh. Their faces don’t even move. Alright, then. No jokes.

“This is about to be fun,” Alessio mumbles as we enter the mansion.

More armed guards are stationed near every window that's in our line of sight.
