“Fuck it, I’m in. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had some fun.” Hash’s signature sinister smile spreads across his face as he cracks his knuckles. “What do you need from me?”
“Watch my back. I got the address from Sutton. You good with this, Prez?”
He inclines his head. “I’m good with it. Keep it as clean as possible. I’ll hold off on dealing with the Black Diamonds until we get this sorted. I want everyone’s head on right in case it blows up.”
“Appreciated.”
I’m not going to lie, it had been weighing on my mind. Sutton was already a distraction at the last run and now it’s even worse. The last thing I need is to be worried if her ex is going to pop up at Evan’s house or wherever else Sutton might be.
“What about me?” Cyrus asks out of nowhere.
“What about you?” Prez asks, looking like he already knows where this is going.
“They always get to have all the fun. It’s not fair.” He pouts. “Can I come?”
“What part of I want this as clean as possible are you not understanding?” Prez asks him.
“I can be clean!”
Loud laughter booms throughout the room because that’s the biggest fucking lie we’ve all ever heard.
“Brother, if we looked up chaotic mess in a dictionary, your mugshot would be right next to it.” Scotch laughs.
“Yeah, yeah. You all laugh but when it comes down to business, I’m the only one that likes to make it rain rivers of blood.”
“Take Cyrus with you.” Prez sighs, looking at Hash and I. “I don’t want to listen to him bitch about it anymore. Sutton going to work?”
I shake my head. “I told her if she hasn’t heard from me before, it’s time to head to the shop to stay at your and Evan’s house. I don’t want her out in the open.”
Prez nods his head. “I’ll put Levi on the house. If shit happens, between him and Hades they’ll be good. He’s been hanging out with this crazy motherfucker a little too much.” He nods to Cyrus, who is looking way too pleased with himself.
“When are we ridin’ out?” Hash asks.
“Tonight. I googled the address Sutton gave me and it looks like the house is in a small subdivision. I don’t want the little ol’ Karen callin’ the law on us before the fun even gets started.”
I would rather sneak up on him when I know he’s home. If Sutton’s hometown is as small as she made it sound, someone will for sure call us in if they see three guys lurking around. It’s always the cuts that scare people.
“If I have to haul my ass up there to bail you fucks out of jail, you’ll all be washin’ bikes for a month,” Prez tells us. “Actually, scratch that. Only Cyrus.”
Cyrus’ jaw drops. “Why only me?”
“You used up all of your get out of jail free cards. These two have one left.”
Cyrus crosses his arms and glares. “Given our profession, I petition they restart at the beginning of the year.”
“Petition denied.” Prez smirks, making all of us snicker.
He’s too easy to rile up.
That’s part of the reason he’s so fucking crazy. Once his fuse ignites, it’s not burning out until he’s satisfied with his work.
“I’m taking this as you claiming her?” Prez asks, drawing everyone’s attention back to me.
I meet every single brother’s eyes as I say, “I’m claimin’ her.”
Every one of them hollers, claps and cat calls, their way of congratulating me.
Turning to Prez, I ask over the noise, “You got any Gigante cigars layin’ around that you wouldn’t mind goin’ missin’?”
