“Do I look like a fucking idiot to you?” Prez is glaring right at me.

“To be fair, Trick shouldn’t have called Hash’s woman a cunt multiple times. I would have knocked his ass out too.” Cyrus says, having my back.

“Your woman?” Prez looks at me expectantly, waiting for me to explain.

“She’s not my woman anymore,” I say through gritted teeth.

“A baby mama he’s trying to make his woman.” Cyrus smirks.

“Come again?” Prez asks, his brow raising.

“Will you shut the fuck up?”

“I’m just helping you out.” Cyrus winks.

But you couldn’t help out two minutes ago. Fucker.

“I’ll fill you in later,” Evan tells him quietly. “I think Hash needs a minute.”

Thank you.

Finally, someone on my fucking side.

Prez nods before turning his attention to Trick and me. “You two good?”

“We’ll be good if he keeps his mouth shut,” I answer, and Trick grunts.

Prez shrugs, knowing this is as good as it’s going to get for right now. “Chill the fuck out tonight. Church in the morning. Let’s go to bed, hellcat.”

Evan giggles as Prez smacks her on the ass while he follows her upstairs.

All I can think about is how that would be Aisling and me right now if I didn’t fuck shit up.

I still feel like shit as I walk into church the next morning.

Everyone is already seated around the long oval table, and Trick’s bruised and swollen jaw is the first thing I lock eyes on. He throws a head nod my way. That’s about as good of an apology as I’m about to get out of him.

He’s lucky he didn’t say that shit to her face.

He’d be a dead man, brother or not.

“You two still good?” Prez asks, eyeing Trick and me as I take my seat.

Everyone besides Cyrus looks at us confused.

“We’re good,” I answer, not wanting to rehash this shit in church.

Prez studies us for a moment before finally nodding. “Let’s get this shit rolling.”

“It’s about damn time!” Cyrus yells as he pounds on the table. “I’m itching to kill this bitch. It’s making me twitchy.”

Prez sighs as he rubs his forehead. “Why do I get the feeling I fucked up in letting you be the one to school the prospect?”

“Because you did.” Scotch snorts.

“Fuck you, dude. You were bitching and moaning the entire time we had to clean up last time. As if you would get picked for the job,” Cyrus fires back as he leans back in his seat and crosses his arms.

“I wouldn’t have been bitching and moaning if you fucks knew how to do it right in the first place,” Scotch growls.
