“I like it when you call me ‘Miss Cole.’ It’s so proper, yet so hot at the same time.”
“I’m not sure how to respond to you right now. You’re usually much more inhibited.”
“You make me like this,” I told him. I thought about my little angel and devil friends. The devil had the same mischievous smile Alexander did. “You…you’re dangerous to me. Like the devil, constantly tempting me.”
“Oh, really? And are you an angel?”
“Actually…um, yes. I am an angel,” I said confidently, voicing my sudden revelation. “But you mister—you’re that pesky little devil on my shoulder drowning out my angel’s warnings.”
“What in the world are you talking about, Krystina?”
“You know—a sub…a subconscious. Good versus evil. Like in the cartoons.”
There was silence for a moment before the line suddenly went dead.
Aww, what a party pooper. I was just starting to have some fun, too. Oh, well.
I knew I would probably hate myself in the morning, but I didn’t particularly care. At that moment, I envisioned Alexander as my own little devil, and my skin began to tingle from the memories of him spanking my behind.
I should have pushed him further tonight. I know he would have fucked me if I’d had any clue as to what I was doing. But no—I had to be the good little girl I was and left when he dismissed me.
I should have Allyson give me some pointers on how to be more aggressive with men.
I went back to my room and plugged the phone into the dock. I laughed out loud when “Sweater Weather” started playing.
“I love this song!” I shouted to the empty bedroom.
It was a sexy song too. I danced around my room, not caring that I probably looked like an idiot. It felt good. It made me wonder what it would be like with Alexander—to feel him inside me for the first time. A shiver of anticipation ran through me at the thought.
Lost in my own little what-if sexual fantasies, a loud knock at the door of my apartment had me leaping out of my skin, interrupting the solo dance routine I had been rocking.
“Krystina! Open up,” came Alexander’s voice through the door.
Oh. My. God. He’s here. At my apartment.
I quickly went to the door, as fast as my inebriated state would allow, bumping into half the furniture along the way. I opened the door, and there he stood. I hungrily drank in every glorious, sexy inch of him.
“I’ve been knocking for five minutes. Why didn’t you answer sooner?” he demanded.
“Well, hello to you too,” I said, eyeing him up and down. I went to lean against the doorjamb, only to miss it entirely and almost fall over. Alexander grabbed my arm to steady me. He gave me a quick once over, a frown forming on his beautiful face.
“You’re trashed,” he said with obvious annoyance.
“Maybe a little. How’d ya get here so fast, anyway?”
“If you had paid any attention earlier, you’d know I don’t live far from here.”
“Well, isn’t that just handy? Wanna grab a quickie?” I asked suggestively.
“No,” he said firmly, brushing past me to enter my apartment. He walked around the apartment, opening doors and peering into rooms. “Why the fuck are you drunk, Krystina?” he snapped over his shoulder.
“Did you just come here to yell at me, Stone?”
“I came to make sure you were okay and to put you to bed,” he said.
His tone was so stern, and it was a total turn-on. I wanted to pounce on him and have my way with his body, just like he had to me in the penthouse.
He had changed his clothes from earlier and was no longer wearing jeans and a button-down. Now he was in running pants and a T-shirt. I looked at the elastic waistband around his hips and thought about how easy it would be to slide the pants right down past his knees.
