“I just don’t understand Blue at times. It’s like he wants us to hate him. The bitch isn’t even here. She’s all the way in London. Even with that, he’s still making her the face of the club tonight. I’m getting sick of this shit. I’m not going to lie, I was calling around different clubs today, trying to see if they were looking for dancers. We’re working in a club, slaving, but the niggas don’t be checking for us. They come in here looking for Poison, and when they find out that she isn’t here, they be ready to leave,” Plump, one of my home girls at the club said to me.
She walked over to my station, with an annoyed look plastered on her face. She just finished working her set, and more than likely was coming back into the locker room so she could touch up her makeup and fix her hair.
I was getting ready to head up to one of the VIP sections. Blue requested me, and a few of the other girls to go up there. I heard that Oso and his guys were in the building tonight. Oso was a get money, dope dealing ass nigga. His bag was big. He probably came to Playhouse once every couple of months. The club shit really wasn’t his thing.
“I used to let that shit bother me, but I don’t anymore. I just take it to the chin. The only reason I would be upset is if I wasn’t making money. I make good money. I might not make as much as Poison, but shit, I’m not struggling either. We go wrong in this club when we try to compare. We gotta get out of that,” I voiced, reaching over, so I could unplug my curling iron.
Plump’s station was right next to mine. She flopped down in her chair, sitting in front of her vanity, and waved me off. You could tell that she wasn’t trying to hear shit I was saying.
It was a big night at the club tonight. Not even to sound like I was hating, but the way Blue centered tonight around Poison, you would really think that she went to London and won a Grammy. Playhouse was at its full capacity tonight to celebrate her, even though she wasn’t here. All night, the TV screens lit up with pictures of her. Social media has been posting club flyers since yesterday, advertising what was happening tonight at the club.
They were calling tonight, ‘Poison in London: The Watch Party’. Basically, tonight was her final night performing in London with Amaya. So many people from our city was proud of her, so Blue decided at the last minute to put this on. When it was time for her to perform, they were going to livestream her performance in London, and we’ll watch it together at the club.
I can’t lie, seeing Poison go to London and shut it down like that, it was inspiring. It made a ghetto girl like me see that there were bigger opportunities out here for us. Shit far bigger than working in this club. That girl was on stage with one of the hottest artist out right now. Peep how all this good shit was happening to her ever since she stopped fuckin with Hitta. Don’t get me wrong, I feel like Poison has always gotten great opportunities, but the opportunities are even bigger now.
That girl is fuckin on the hottest nigga in Miami. I know bitches that have been trying to get at Wolf for years. We always thought that Wolf would get with a bitch that’s a doctor or lawyer. He took a bitch straight out of Opa- Locka, working in the same club as us, and he made it clear on that live video that Poison was his girl. She got the nigga, and she got to go to London and be on Amaya’s tour. That shit opened my eyes for me to leave Hitta alone and start moving to the beat of my own drum.
I talked with Plump for a little bit and then stood up. I needed to head out. I didn’t want to hear Blue’s mouth, telling me to hurry up. Before walking out, I sprayed a little perfume on my body and headed for the door.
By this point in my pregnancy, when I was at work, with my belly on display, I could no longer hide the baby bump. It showed. Customers saw it and would ask. For the most part, no one judged me because this wouldn’t be the first time that a stripper got pregnant. I didn’t plan to work my entire pregnancy though. Before I blow up, I was going to sit my ass down and just enjoy the break.
“Oh, aight. I was about to start looking for your ass!” Blue said, walking up on me, appearing out of nowhere.
Blue was cool. He just got on my fuckin nerves sometimes. The nigga was demanding as hell.
“I had to fix up my hair and stuff. What section did you put them in?” I asked.
“Up top. I put them in section six. Right by the booth. Desire and the rest of the girls already up there. Go ahead,” he told me, and I nodded.
The fact that Blue had given me, Desire, and a few other ladies that big ass section proved that Poison, and Lyric weren’t working tonight. He usually gave them the best sections, with the heavy hitters. We would get whatever came next.
I strutted in my heels, making it over to the section. During my walk, niggas were pulling my hand, asking for a dance. I promised a handful of them that I would come back and see them after I left the section. A few of them were regulars, who I knew would bless me with some money. Some were new faces.
Throughout the loud music and all the commotion going on, I made it to Oso’s section. They were deep in here. I wasn’t sure if they were celebrating anything, but it was so many niggas, that I could hardly make it through. You would think that these get money niggas weren’t used to getting pussy or women because the second I made it over to them, they immediately began pulling on me, all wanting a dance.
I wasn’t interested in either of them though. I wanted to go for the big dog. The leader. That was Oso.
He was the one standing by the railing, holding a blunt in his hands. Before making my way over to him, I sat the girls up in my bra, making sure that they rested nicely, and I did a sexy walk over to him.
He felt me walking over because he turned his head. Oso was fine as fuck. Tall, dark skin, nice teeth, with beautiful waves in his hair. He smelled really good. His scent reached me before I reached him. Also, he was dressed nicely. I loved to see a nigga in big VVS chains, bracelets, and diamonds in his ear. That’s exactly what Oso had going on tonight.
He had a stare that was very intimidating. If I wasn’t so confidant, I would have cowered at his gaze. He looked at me as if he as checking for flaws. I mean, his eyes started from my feet. You could see my toes perfectly in the high platform pumps I was working. I watched as his eyes lingered on my feet for at least ten seconds. I didn’t mind though because I knew I had pretty, suckable toes. His eyes traveled up my legs, looking at them. They went up to my thighs, my stomach, and that’s where he stopped.
My stomach was nowhere near as flat as it used to be, due to the pregnancy. He gave my stomach ten seconds of staring time, traveled up, going to my breast. The breast were the real money maker. I got them done about two years ago. They looked natural, so people wouldn’t know I had work done unless I told them. Once his eyes left my breast, he looked in my eyes. Not long after, he was looking at my stomach again.
“I don’t want to offend you, baby. You pregnant?” he asked me.
He was respectful in the way he asked it. I could tell he wasn’t judging. He just genuinely wanted to know.
“I am. That’s a problem?” I inquired.
“Nah. Your uterus don’t have anything to do with me, love,” he said.
I nodded towards that and stepped a little closer. I pulled on the VVS chain wrapped around his neck. In this business, you had to be sexy. You had to be seductive. That was the only thing that would spark these niggas interest. The only thing that would make them want to live out the fantasy, accept the dance, and throw money at you.
“Let me dance for you,” I purred, looking him in his eyes.
“The other dancers already came over here and tried to do that. I’m good, love. Get my niggas right though. They got money, and they’ll throw it. Where Poison at? We pulled up, thinking that we were going to see her. I see they flashing all her pictures, but niggas telling me that she’s in London. That’s true?” he asked me.
