Even though I didn’t deal with the other girls in the club like that, when I made it to the locker room, I told them that there was money in the private room for them to go get. They damn near broke their necks to get it.
I walked over to my locker, keyed in the code, and pulled the sweat suit out that I arrived at the club in. As I was doing that, Blue walked in with an annoyed look on his face. All the girls rushed out to get the money, so it was just the two of us in here.
“What the fuck happened with you and Oso? Why Rock had to escort him out?” Blue wanted to know.
“He only wanted me to give him a private dance because him and Wolf got into it. He did that shit to get back at Wolf. Blue, it’s just certain shit that I’m not going to do. You know how I am. I don’t dance for everybody and I’m damn sure not going to dance for a nigga that’s beefing with my man. I hate that I even did that,” I spat, stepping into my sweatpants.
“Nah. You good. Don’t trip about it. What the fuck could Wolf and Oso possibly be beefing about though? They not even in the same line of business,” Blue noted.
“I don’t know. I’ll find out when I get home,” I let him know.
“Aight. Ima call one of the guards to come down and walk you to your car. Calm down,” he said.
I finished getting dressed, packed up all my things, as Blue put the call in. By the time I gathered everything, holding two duffle bags, security was waiting by the door for me. We took the back door out of the club, and he walked me through the parking lot. He didn’t leave until I got inside my car and drove off. I was deep in thought on the drive home. So deep, that I didn’t even play the music loudly like I usually would.
I couldn’t wait until I got home to ask Wolf about Oso. This shit wasn’t making any sense to me.
Because it was late at night, there wasn’t any traffic on the road. I made it home in under twenty minutes. I parked in the parking garage, and quickly got out, grabbing my things. I made it over to the side door, walked inside, and headed for the elevators. The entire time I was inside the elevator, I was antsy. Moving back and forth, waiting for the doors to open, so I could get to Wolf. It felt like the ride up was longer than usual.
I eventually made it off the elevator and walked quickly getting to the front door. I used the code and walked inside the house.
From where I was standing, I could look ahead of me and see that Wolf fell asleep in the living room area. He had the balcony door open, giving the inside of the penthouse a little breeze from outside.
I dropped my things by the door and walked over to him. Usually, my man woke up from the smallest of sounds. Tonight, he was lying on his back, with one hand resting behind his head, and the other hand inside his joggers. He looked so sexy sleeping. He was shirtless, and his long wavy hair was sprawled out. Light snores came from him, as he slept peacefully.
I dropped down to my knees, brought my face closer to his, and began placing light pecks on his lips. The third peck caused him to jump up out of his sleep, look around, and then focus his eyes on me.
“Why you ain’t text me and tell me you were on the way home?” he asked, taking his hand out of his pants and putting it down to his side.
I usually wouldn’t hug him or anything after getting home from the club because I liked to wash off first, but Wolf never cared, so I came over, and sat on him. I put my ass right on his chest, while looking down at him. His large hands held onto my ass, while he looked at me with sleepy eyes. My man was exhausted. I felt the same way.
“What beef you have with Oso?” I asked, not bothering to answer his question because I had a question of my own.
“He came to the club tonight?” he asked. He did it right back to me, answering my question with a question.
“Yes! Requested a private dance from me in one of the private rooms. Wolf, if you beefing with niggas, you gotta let me know that. I wouldn’t have fuckin danced for him if I knew you were at odds with him!” I snapped, taking this serious.
“I ain’t beefing with that nigga, Deja. He pulled up on me at the shop a couple of weeks ago. Nigga came at me with some weak ass plan to invest in another Wolf’s Jeweler. I shut it down, telling him that I didn’t need another nigga to invest in my business. He had a whole fuckin plan for my business. He wanted to open more stores, expand, and shit like that. I could tell I had him heated after that, so to get back at me, he tried to be shady. He told me his boy was having a mansion party, and he wanted me to relay the message to you so you could come out and dance for them. I told him no,” he said, and then he took a pause.
He thought about what he wanted to say next.
“I had to let him know that I could be on whatever he was on. That happened weeks ago. I haven’t thought about that nigga. He ain’t personally wrong me. He didn’t put his hands on me, none of that shit. He came at me with a plan, and I shut it down. To be petty, he brought you up, and I shut that down too. That means I’m beefing with that nigga? I ain’t going around thinking I was beefing with him” he stated.
I rolled my eyes, and tried to get up, but he wouldn’t let me.
“You could have told me. I wouldn’t have went up and danced for him,” I said, my voice dripping in annoyance.
“I’ll take accountability for that. I should have told you. That shit happened while you were in London. I wasn’t trying to put that on you, knowing you had business in London to tend to. By the time you got back, I forgot about it. I dropped the ball right there, and I’m sorry. After he left the shop, I didn’t think twice about him. I didn’t think he would do no petty shit like that and pull up on you at the club. I’m sorry about that baby,” he said, lifting me up with his hands still holding onto my ass, bringing me closer.
I was damn near sitting on his neck. I liked that Wolf was able to take accountability, and I didn’t have to tell him to apologize. He did it on his own.
“Damn, so now you got beef with me?” he asked, once I never made a move to kiss him or anything, once he brought me closer to him. He knew any other time, my tongue would have been down his throat already. I laughed, pushed him, and tried to stand up but he still wasn’t letting me.
“Let me take a shower. I smell like weed, liquor, hookah, and everything else,” I said.
“And cheap ass cologne from them niggas,” he threw in. I laughed again.
“I can say some real shit to you without you getting upset?” he asked me.
