“Real shit my love, that’s a billionaire baby in your stomach. A Bennett. Sit your ass down, be put up, and let this shit change your life,” I let her know, right before I kissed her lips.

She got herself together, wrapped her arms around my neck, and kissed me some more. We had a moment where we looked deeply into each other’s eyes.

I couldn’t believe that she was pregnant. I was happy though. I felt like I mastered everything else in life. I had everything else. The only thing I didn’t have was a child.

“You love me?” I asked her.

“I love you so much,” she replied, a tear falling from her eye.

“Aight. Accept that you’re going to be a mommy. You’ll be the best mommy to our son or daughter,” I let her know.

“I don’t want to fuck up. I don’t want to be the kind of mom to my child that my mom was to me,” and that right there is what her fear was.

“That’s not the kind of person you are. Your soul too beautiful for you to ever be that way. You’re going to be a great mommy,” I confirmed.

She kissed me after I said that. The kiss got nasty as hell. I’m talking, she was grinding her body on me and moaning against my lips.

It didn’t take long for my dick to rock up in my jeans. I flipped us, putting her on her back, and removed the little shorts she had on. Pussy was in my mouth in a matter of seconds. I ate her through two orgasms, pulled my dick out, and got the best pussy of my life right here at the foot of this bed.

All that crying and doubting she was doing had come to an end. The only thing she was crying about now was how good the dick felt. I gave her rounds and rounds of good sex, until she eventually passed out.

When we finished, I stood here, holding my clothes in my hands. Before I walked off, I took her in. I took in what was getting ready to be our new reality.

In this moment, all I could think about was some shit that Deja told me awhile back. She told me that if I ever got her off the pole, out of the club life, and pregnant, she would have to give me my credit. She said no other nigga has ever come close to pulling that off. I’ve always told her that I was a different kind of nigga. The positive pregnancy tests confirmed that. The fact that she was keeping my child and not getting rid of it like the last nigga’s baby she was pregnant by confirmed that. Her time at Playground coming to an end confirmed that. Shit, the soft life that she was getting ready to have confirmed it as well.

CHAPTER 22

DEJA MCCOY

It was Monday night and the theme at Playhouse was Flag on the play. In other words, a football game was happening tonight, so it was a football theme going on. The Miami Dolphins were playing the Buffalo Bills. It was a big deal at the club and for that reason alone, so many people had come out to show love. I’d just gotten on the stage about a minute ago, and I was prepared to do my first set for the night.

Usually, whenever I’m at the club, I try my hardest to leave whatever problems I might be dealing with at home. I didn’t like to bring it here. I wanted to be able to give the pole, and my fans my best self. It was hard for me tonight though. All I was thinking about was this baby growing inside of me. All I could think about was my career at the club coming to an end.

I promise I wasn’t sad about the pregnancy. I knew the kind of man I had. I knew he would make sure that me, and our child were straight. I was just sad about this chapter of my life coming to an end. I didn’t want to be the woman to get on the stage, dancing at nine months. It was no purpose for me to do that because I wasn’t struggling for money. I had plenty of money put away, plus my man kept reminding me that he would take care of us, and I would forever be straight.

Wolf and I were able to agree on just one more month at the club, and that’s what it was going to be. I haven’t told Blue yet. I know I was going to break his heart with the news. I was his money maker here. If he loved me like the brother that he claimed, then he would respect my decision.

The only person that knew I was pregnant was my man. I haven’t even told my girls yet and I told them bitches everything. My auntie didn’t know either. Well, she might have suspected it, just like my grandma. A bitch takes a couple of naps on the Orlando trip, and I had the entire house suspecting a pregnancy. The morning we left Orlando to come back home, my grandma pulled me to the side, looked me in my eyes and told me that I needed to take a test. According to her, I needed to find out so I wasn’t putting the baby in harm’s way by dancing at the club. God, I wanted to be defiant and pretend that the conversation never took place, but her words were nagging in my ear, plus my period still hadn’t come, so that’s what made me order the tests to the house.

I’m 100% sure that Wolf would have cursed me out if he was there to see my reaction towards the pregnancy. I acted a plum fool and I was in denial, which is why I took so many tests.

Crazy because in the past, when I’ve been pregnant with Hitta’s babies, I’ve always known that I wasn’t going to carry through with the pregnancies. One of the babies, I actually terminated the pregnancy, but the other one, I ended up losing it. With Wolf’s baby, I knew I was going to keep it, and that’s why I cried the way I did. I cried because I knew my life was getting ready to change. As I was up here on stage, twirling around on the pole, with people screaming my name, and throwing money at me, all I could think about was the fact that this was coming to an end. They didn’t even know it.

My outfit for the night was cute though. It was something custom to match the theme. The top was a black and white referee inspired bralette that tied behind my back. The bottoms were a pair of black boy shorts, that had my ass cheeks spilling out of them. They were cut off on the side, with white laces riding up both my hips. Black fishnet stockings covered my thick legs, and the platform heels had me standing up much taller.

I styled my hair in two ponytails tonight, putting a white ribbon on each ponytail. My face was beat just how it always is whenever I came to dance. I went a little extra with my look tonight, going with the football theme, and adding two stripes of black eye paint underneath my eyes.

Cardi B’s new song AH HA was playing, as I placed both hands on the pole, giving the crowd my back, and twerking for them. I dropped down low, shaking one ass cheek, doing the other, and then I did both. From there, I was back to climbing up the pole. All I could hear was Wolf’s voice, telling me to take it easy and not do all the crazy shit that I liked to get up on the pole and do.

I was being mindful of that. Still, I climbed up, but I didn’t go as high as I normally would. Instead, I stopped climbing when I was about nine feet high. Any other night, I would have been at the very top, gambling with my life.

Now that I was up, I was able to hold on tightly, and I did my signature air walk. Coming out of the airwalk, I flipped my body upside down, and this was the part where I was going to drop back down. I paused though. I paused because since I’ve been in the club for the last five years, a face walked in that’s never graced this club before.

It was my mama.

She came in strutting with my auntie Twan. Even though I was upside down, nine feet in the air, my eyes landed on them. I could see my aunt point at me to my mom, and then my eyes connected with hers.

With all the blood rushing to my head, I thought I might be seeing things. It was no way. She’s never watched me dance. Only heard about it and seen clips of me online.
