He was flirting with me.

I couldn’t help the blush on my cheeks. “Thank you.”

We walk closer to the stand.

“How long will you be in town for?”

“Uhh, I’m not sure. I’m just visiting my dad.”

“That’s cool.” he sticks his hand in his front pockets. “Maybe, if your around for a little bit longer, we can hang out or something?”

Shit.

What do I do?

“Raven??”

I face forward to see Samuel standing at the register, a big goofy grin on his face.

Grinning at him, I walk up to the stand.

“Hey Samuel.”

He was of course wearing his uniform, looking great. “Aren’t you looking good this year.”

“Stop it.” I say with a grin.

He leaned over the counter. “You staying for the carnival?”

I just raise my hand.

“That’s what’s up.” he stands fully. “Lemonade?”

I nod my head and pull out my bill.

“Be careful tonight. My cousins are really crazy.”

Cousins?

Justin?

He placed the drink in front of me and slides the ten dollar bill back to me.

“Justin is here?” I pick up the drink, and take a sip. Fucking delicious.

“No, not him. My other cousins. Seb and Sullivan.”

Are you fucking joking.

How many cousins are in this town?

“Oh, I had no idea that you guys were related.”

“Yeah. It’s their parents that own this whole thing.”

Right.

Because that makes a lot of sense.
