Beau’s hand smacked across the center of Dax’s bottom, and he breathed in, welcoming the pain.

“I’m not good at reading people,” he whined. “I really thought it was a good idea!”

“You rush ahead too excited sometimes. And yeah, you don’t read the room. You’re not good at cues. That’s why when Daddy tells you something is a bad idea, you need to slow down and listen.” The swats came hard and fast, warming his entire bottom and he writhed against Beau’s lap.

“Yes, Daddy. I’m sorry! I just…” A lone tear coursed down Dax’s cheek and he paused, searching for words. The constant crashing of Beau’s hand against his ass made it hard for him to think or speak. But that was okay because Beau knew him better than anyone.

“You just like Jilly a lot, and as much as you like being my boy, it’s not enough for you. You want someone to Daddy. You have such a big heart and having a Little we could share would balance the scales a bit. I know, babyboy. I get it. But you can’t force it. It will happen in due time, with the right Little for both of us, I promise.”

“Okay,” Dax whimpered as the heat built. Beau spanked harder now and he knew the talking was over. Beau said what he needed to say, and his focus now would be giving Dax the release he desperately needed.

Beau was good at that, at giving Dax what he needed, at keeping things fair and balanced and taking care of him. He wasn’t good at allowing Dax to do the same for him. He said it would upset the balance of power. That’s why they’d agreed to find a Little girl to share. It was the perfect solution, but it was taking forever and Dax was not a patient man.

But he knew he needed to be, and when it came to this, he needed to let Beau take the lead. Dax felt awful that he’d misread the situation so badly and made Jilly uncomfortable. She was a sweet girl and a good friend and he hadn’t meant to hurt her. When he thought about the panicked expression on her face when he’d finally stopped talking and actually looked at her, he felt awful. Tears pricked Dax’s eyelids, and as he started to cry, Beau continued the assault on his bottom. He’d keep going until Dax was squawking fit to beat Jesus and not stop until he was truly ready to move on from the guilt he felt. That was the kind of great Daddy he was.

Leaning into the pain, Dax worked through the guilt in his head. He hadn’t meant to upset her. He would never. Just sometimes he was a little clueless. But, he’d fix it with her no matter what it took, and he’d make sure she knew she was not the one at fault. Dax would own his mistakes. He was good at that at least. Beau said it was one of his greatest strengths.

Dax sobbed out his guilt until he was gasping for air, until Beau stopped spanking and started to rub his aching bottom in slow, comforting circles.

Finally, he took Dax’s hand and pulled him into his lap. “I love you, babyboy.”

Dax nodded, burrowing his face into Beau’s chest. “I know, Daddy. I love you too. Thank you for spanking me. I feel a little better now.”

“I’m glad. You’re a good boy, Dax.”

“I don’t feel like one.”

Beau wrapped his arms around Dax and squeezed tight. “How about we get into bed, and Daddy shows you just how good a boy you are?”

His cheeks burned and he thought about being slammed against the mattress with Daddy’s cock buried between his hot achy bottom cheeks. “It’s not… it’s a little early for bed, Daddy.”

“When has that ever stopped us?”

Knowing he was right, Dax giggled and stood, peeling back the covers and jumping into bed, already naked from the spanking. He watched with hungry greedy eyes as Beau stripped off his clothes and climbed into bed beside him.

He raised his arm to stretch across the pillows, and Dax scooted up close to him, resting his head on Beau’s chest while his muscled biceps curved around his shoulders.

Beau’s head dipped low and his lips found Dax’s. The kiss started slow and gentle but quickly deepened, increasing in intensity.

Dax’s cock hardened and twitched as he turned his body inward to meet his Daddy’s.

Ding. Chirp. Ding. Both their phones went off at once.

Before Beau could tell him not to, Dax grabbed his from the nightstand, holding it in front of his face and opened the new message.

His heart raced as he read it and sat up in bed like a shot. “It’s from Jilly. She wants us to meet her downstairs in the casino.”

“What? What, now?” Frowning, Beau jumped out of bed and grabbed his phone from the pocket of his discarded pants. “Hmmm.” He hummed as he read the message and Dax could tell he didn’t know what to make of it. Neither did he.

“I think we should go.” Jumping to his feet, Dax grabbed his discarded boxer briefs off the floor, wincing when he pulled the fabric over his scalded bottom.

“Hold your horses there, boy.” Beau closed the space between them, pressing his bare chest against Dax’s. “We can go, but I have a condition.”

With a pretty good idea of where this was going, Dax licked his lips. “What’s that, Daddy?”

“You let me take the lead on this. You don’t talk, you listen, and if you need to say something, you squeeze my hand and wait for me to nod and give you permission.”

“But…” Dax didn’t really have an argument.
