“It's my room,” he insisted.

Angel looked around. “Wait. Whose room is this?”

Ghost and Jackhammer looked at each other. “Technically?” Jackhammer asked.

“Yes,” she breathed.

“It’s Ghost’s,” he said. He shrugged. “But I still use it.”

Angel stared at the two of them. “You are both weird.”

“Yet you're staying,” Hammer said. Her face changed. Ghost hadn’t heard that part. Jackhammer looked at him, and Ghost looked at Angel.

“You are?” Ghost asked.

Angel swallowed. “If the offer still stands.”

Ghost crossed the room. “What offer?”

“To stay,” she said.

“There wasn't an offer.” Angel frowned as Ghost stopped in front of her. “You already belong here.”

Her eyes filled again, and Jackhammer groaned. “Jesus, Ghost.”

“What?” Ghost asked.

“You finally said something romantic and made her start crying again,” Hammer said.

“I thought it was good,” Ghost insisted.

Angel laughed. “It was.”

Ghost looked smug, and Jackhammer shook his head. “Don't encourage him.”

Angel looked between them. “I want to stay.”

Jackhammer's chest tightened. “With both of us?”

“Yes,” she whispered. Ghost smiled, and Jackhammer waited her out.

Angel seemed to notice their hesitation. “What?”

“Say it,” Hammer said.

“Say what?” she asked.

“You know,” Ghost said.

She rolled her eyes. “I want to be with both of you.” Ghost's smile widened, and Jackhammer finally breathed.

“Good,” Ghost said.

Angel pointed at him. “But there are rules.”

“Of course there are,” he agreed.

“I am not property,” she insisted. Ghost opened his mouth, and Angel pointed at him. “Don't.” He wisely closed it. “I make my own decisions.”
