“Yes,” Dominic repeated.

“And Razor killed Dad for him,” she said. Angel closed her eyes. “What happened six years ago?”

“Mercer died for real,” Dominic said.

“Then it's over,” Hammer growled.

“No, it’s not,” Dominic insisted.

Angel's eyes opened. “Why? What else is there to do?”

“Someone inherited the network, and we need to take them out,” Dominic said. Hammer didn’t like the idea of her uncle giving her or anyone else orders.

“Who is the new head of the network?” Monster asked.

Dominic went quiet, and Angel's patience snapped. “Who the fuck inherited it?” A gunshot exploded outside and the security monitor shattered. Jackhammer grabbed Angel and pulled her down. Ghost fired toward the window as men shouted and glass shattered around them.

Monster hit the alarm. “CONTACT!”

Jackhammer covered Angel with his body. “No.” She shoved at him.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“No more,” Angel shouted.

“Angel—” Hammer said, reaching for her.

“No more hiding.” She reached for the gun in her waistband that Jackhammer had given her at the barn.

Ghost stared at her. “You still have that?”

“Yep.” Jackhammer almost smiled. Another shot tore through the front window, and Monster's men returned fire. Angel crawled behind the bar as Jackhammer and Ghost followed.

The phone was still connected, and Dominic's voice shouted through the speaker. “They found me!”

Angel grabbed the phone from Ghost. “Who found you?”

“The network,” he shouted back.

“Dominic!” Gunfire erupted through the phone, followed by a grunt. “Dom?” He didn’t answer. “DOM!”

A man's voice came over the line. It wasn’t Dominic. His voice was calm and cold. “You really are Elena's daughter.” Angel froze. Jackhammer looked at Ghost, and his face turned murderous.

“Who the fuck are you?” Angel demanded.

The man laughed. “Ask Samuel.”

Every eye turned toward Bishop, and he went white. Angel slowly lowered the phone. “Samuel?”

Bishop stared at the phone. “No.”

The voice continued. “You've been searching through dead men's secrets all night, Angel.”

“Who are you?” she asked again.

“The man your mother couldn't expose,” the voice said.

Bishop shook his head. “You're dead.” Apparently that sentence was popular tonight.
