Crown Of Desires

Boyfriend?

The mere thought of her dating someone before me nearly knocks the air from my lungs.

Rationally, I know having a boyfriend is normal. But not for my Elara.

She’s only ever supposed to have me.

“What did he want?” I growl, yanking her head back by her hair without an ounce of care.

She parts her lips to scream, but I silence her by tightening my grip on the dull, lifeless strands.

“Not a fucking sound if you want to live.” The warning comes out low and lethal, cutting her off instantly.

“H-he wants her b-b-back.” She sobs and I almost lose my mind. “He wanted her contact number but I told him that she has a boyfriend.” And fucking weeps again. “I didn’t do anything. Let me go. Please.”

I straighten up. “Listen to me, Amara. You’re gonna leave tomorrow and never come back. If I find out you contacted my girl, I’m going to kill you.” I growl in a hushed voice. Afraid I might wake Elara up.

She’s already nodding. “I-I prom-mise.”

“Fucking imbecile. I’ll make you watch me kill that charm of a public toilet ex-boyfriend and then I will kill you if you share Elara’s contact details, you hear me?”

She’s only nodding, thick tears dripping down her unpleasant, slapable face. Her wide eyes, the wrong fucking shade, the two strands of black hair sticking to her cheeks.

She’s jealous of Elara. I wonder if she’s the reason why Elara hates her body. I look around the room, and open drawers until I find a pair of scissors.

Her eyes widen as she sees me marching towards her, already shaking her head.

“Please. I won’t…I’m sorry, d-don’t do this.” “Don’t do what?” I mock, tilting my head.

“P-please…I’m sorry.” She cries but I only see the way she shouted at my girl, called her names.

“Never. Ever. Tell Elara to fix herself, never fucking force her to fit inside your narrow, lifeless, lacklustre world.”

I fist a handful of her black hair and drag the scissors through it unevenly. The strands fall to the floor with a sharp snap, and she goes still beneath me.

Tiny sobs rack through her body, making her shudder, and the sound is music to my ears.

“Begone before she wakes up or else it’ll be your neck next time!”

I leave the room, the rage making me inept. If I look at Elara now, all I’ll see is the word branded across her forehead.

Ex-boyfriend.

It pounds against my skull with every step as I stalk down the stairs, never once looking back.

Her boyfriend?

I know we haven’t had a heart-to-heart conversation about our past, but fuck. I’m caught off guard.

She doesn’t have time to remember me, but she has time to date daft arseholes?

This motherfucker thinks he can just have my woman because he wants? How fucking dare he?
