“Vivienne.”

“Continue.”

Leo laughed softly.

Then her eyes became serious.

“I choose you. Forever, if you’ll let me.”

Vivienne had spent most of her life believing surrender meant losing.

She knew better now.

Sometimes surrender meant trusting someone enough to stop fighting the thing you wanted most.

Leo’s voice softened.

“Will you marry me?”

Vivienne smiled.

“Yes.”

Leo stood so quickly Vivienne barely had time to laugh before strong arms wrapped around her.

Their mouths met.

There was nothing restrained about the kiss.

Nothing polite.

Vivienne gripped Leo’s shoulders as Leo pulled her tightly against her, the familiar press of her body sending heat racing through Vivienne with an intensity that one year together had done absolutely nothing to diminish.

When they finally broke apart, Vivienne was breathing harder.

Leo’s forehead rested against hers.

“So,” Leo murmured.

“So?”

“We’re getting married.”

Vivienne smiled.

“We are.”

Leo kissed her again.

Vivienne felt Leo’s hands slide lower.

Her eyes narrowed.

“Cole.”

“Strauss.”
