Bruiser groaned. “Fuck, you didn’t have to say that out loud. You removed the sound barrier, remember?”

Somewhere outside the cabin, someone cackled loudly.

“Oh gods,” Uriel muttered. “Well, I can’t hear anything from here unless Hunner shouts, so we should be fine.”

“You’ll see them when you get home!” the butler yelled.

Bruiser facepalmed. “No.”

“Methinks you’re too late,” Uriel said.

Bruiser sighed. He smiled though. “Hunner tries.”

“So I’ve heard. The Butler Brothers have a reputation.”

Snickering, from somewhere beyond the walls.

Uriel was about to get out of bed to check on Cassie, when his phone rang. It was a very specific ringtone, one he’d only heard once before.

He grabbed his phone off the nightstand. “This is Uriel.”

“Uriel!” said a breathless, familiar voice. “Thank the gods you answered, I think I need your help.”

Uriel’s stomach dropped. The last time Fenn texted, the omega had been uncertain about his circumstances, but he hadn’t needed help yet. “What’s going on? Where are you?”

He was already sitting up, swinging his feet off the bed. Bruiser was frowning. The alpha’s sharp hearing meant he could hear Fenn’s side of the call, so Uriel didn’t bother putting it on speaker.

“I need help getting out of here,” Fenn said quietly.

Keep calm, Uriel told himself. “I need you to give me a location. How soon do you need me to be there?”

“I think I have a few days,” Fenn said. “But not much more than that. I managed to shake their tail.”

“Whose tail? Where are you?”

“Idaho. I rescued some omegas and got them out, but now their captors are trying to get back at me for revenge.”

“Fuck,” Uriel said, at the same time Bruiser did. “That’s at least 11 hours of nonstop flying.”

“Crap,” Fenn said. “Sorry! I can wait a few more days. I think.”

He didn’t sound certain, and he probably hadn’t accounted for all the things that could go wrong.

“Let’s go,” Bruiser said.

“Who’s with you?” Fenn asked.

“I’ll explain later. Text me your address, and I’ll get there as soon as I can. Do you need money for food?”

“I have some. Don’t worry about me, U.”

“I’ll always worry about you,” Uriel grumbled.

Fenn huffed like he was amused.

“Take care of yourself, you hear me?” Uriel said.

“Will do. You take care too.”
