My Craving

By the time I get it loose and pull my trousers back into place, Nash is already disappearing into the crowd outside Obsidian, a flash of baby-blue hair visible through the tinted glass. My shirt is missing several buttons, the fabric is wrinkled beyond saving, and he managed all of it while making me believe he was about to put his mouth on my cock.

Clever little bastard.

Most people either try to impress me or stay out of my way. Nash seduced me, tied my ankles together, and ran, and I never saw it coming. I should be pissed, but all I can think about is the smug fucking grin he’ll be wearing when I catch him.

I lower the center partition. Kenji removes one earbud and turns in his seat, his gaze dropping from my face to my open shirt and the belt still clutched in my hand.

“Sir?”

“He bolted. See if you can find him. He went south on Hargrove.”

Kenji’s eyebrow rises, but he has enough sense not to ask how a man half my size left me half-dressed in the back of my own limousine. He gets out and disappears into the crowd after Nash while I pull out my phone and call Ronan.

“Hello, Uncle Duncan,” Colton answers instead.

“I’m looking for Ronan.”

“He’s currently engaged in a very serious discussion regarding the merits of going to bed on time.” A tiny, outraged squeal comes through the phone, followed by Ollie loudly objecting to something in the background. “Apparently, bedtime is a violation of his civil liberties.”

I pinch the bridge of my nose. There’s no point interrupting Ronan while he’s dealing with Ollie. The last time I interrupted him during family time, my credit cards mysteriously stopped working for three days.

“Can you help me?”

“Depends.”

“I need access to the city cameras around Hargrove and Fifth. Nash just escaped from Obsidian.”

There’s a brief silence. “When you say escaped, are we talking about the club or you?”

“Me. Nash escaped from me.”

Colton laughs, not even bothering to hide how much he enjoys that answer. “Oh, I’m going to need details later.”

“You can need them all you want. You’re not getting them.”

“That’s fine. I’ll ask Nash when I meet him.” The smug amusement in his voice tells me he probably will. “What am I looking for?”

“Baby-blue hair. Black shirt. Black pants.”

Keyboard keys start clicking in the background. “Got it. Give me a few minutes.”

The call disconnects. Colton learned quickly how far he can push a Murphy without consequences, and there’s little doubt the rest of the family will hear about Nash escaping me by tomorrow.

I glance down at my open shirt and wrinkled trousers. Going after Nash myself would guarantee someone gets a picture, and by morning, my half-dressed ass would be plastered across every gossip site in the country. Alessia would have my balls.

My phone rings as Kenji slides back into the driver’s seat. He shakes his head, starts the engine, and pulls away from the curb in the direction Nash ran while I answer and put Colton on speaker.

“He went south for approximately three blocks,” Colton says over the rapid click of his keyboard. “Then east for four.”

Kenji takes the next turn.

“I don’t know what his exercise routine is, but he’s fast.”

“Where is he now?”

“Working on it.”

I watch the passing streets while Kenji drives, knowing every minute gives Nash more time to disappear. A few seconds later, Colton speaks again.
