Sometimes they even act like him.

“I’m just ensuring the art is safe for you to bid on,” I reassure her, taking the glass of rosé and passing it to her. “Here, your favorite. Now go away before my security pins you down for hogging the host.”

“Ha! Don’t threaten me with a good time, kid.” She smiles, hugs me, and leaves.

“Friend of the family?” Knox asks beside me.

“One of mom’s best friends.”

“She seems nice.” He leans closer, his eyes on the guests arriving. “But if the twins are hot, tattooed Thors, then what am I?”

I turn to face him, feeling my cheeks blush.

Hell, what isn’t he?

Ares, god of war, carved out of black onyx?

A dark deity who takes my breath away?

A man who—wait… is Knox giving me an opening to flirt?

Yearning.

“I think you’re—”

“OMG!” Across the walkway, a woman breaks from the crowd, runs over, and launches herself at Björn.

The Viking man catches her with zero effort, and she kisses him passionately.

Oh, wow!

I glance at Knox, who is already rubbing his temple in annoyance.

“Does Björn know the Russian model?”

“Nope.”

“Does she know him?”

Knox shrugs. “At least she knows he’s an F1 world champion.”

“You don’t look surprised… Does it happen often?”

“Extremely.”

“Has there been any drama over it?”

“Constantly… It's worse than Amores Salvajes,” Knox says, and I gasp.

Ooohhh!

That must be a lot of drama.
