Just Lucky ’N Love

Closing the gap between us, I pinned her arms down, covering her lips with mine. Nyx circled her legs around me completely.

“Right there—shittt! Oooh, baby, fuck me just like that,” she instructed between kisses.

“Like that?” I kept my pace, applying more pressure. “That’s what’s gon’ make you cum on this dick?”

“Mmhm,” she kissed me sloppily.

“Tell me you’re mine, Nyx,” I demanded desperately, losing control of whatever war we were in. “I need to hear it while you wet me up.

“I’m yours,” she announced as her body quaked. “Fuckkkkkk, I’m cumming!”

“That’s my girl,” I grunted, keeping my strokes steady as I stiffened, erupting just as she did.

Collapsing on the couch, I pulled out of her and wrapped her in my arms, unwilling to let go. We’d made a mess for sure, but all I wanted was to bask in the high Nyx provided for as long as possible before it wore off.

“Jamie,” she hummed, gingerly sinking her teeth into my chest.

“Hmm?”

“If that’s the type of dick you bring to the table, your ex was out of her mind to turn you down.”

My chuckle rumbled around the room as I buried my face in her hair, inhaling the almond scent of whatever product she used. I didn’t find it necessary to reveal that I hadn’t necessarily given Kinsley the type of dick I’d just delivered. Mainly because my feelings for Kins didn’t even scratch the surface of what I felt for Nyx.

I’d been reserved with Kinsley. Nyx, however, brought out an untapped, raw, and spontaneous side of me that couldn’t be restrained even if I tried. She’d made a mark on me. One I’d never be able to erase.

“If the woman you are now is who you brought to the table back then, then I have to say the same. Your ex was a fuckin’ idiot, Nyx Love. But I damn sure plan to capitalize off his mistakes.”

“What’s up, big head?” I said to Ximena, sliding into a seat at the empty bar.

“Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in. If you’re looking for your boo, she isn’t here. ‘Cause I’m so insignificant at this point I know you didn’t bother to stop by just to see me.”

“Cute,” I chuckled. “I know she isn’t here. I came to see you.”

“Wait,” tearing her eyes away from the television screen that’d been holding her attention, she said, “You’re acknowledging her as your boo? I was only joking! What the hell did I miss?”

“A lot,” I admitted. “But I didn’t come here to talk about Nyx.”

“The hell you didn’t if you’re claiming her. I know good and well, you don’t expect me to let that slide. I need the details, now.”

Shaking my head at her overzealousness, I said, “There’s nothing to tell. Shit just shifted, and we’re both on the same page about it.”

“Shifted like you two are together?”

“More like just seeing where things go,” I replied absently. Xi narrowed her eyes at me almost immediately. “What?”

“And whose idea was it for the two of you to see where things go?”

“Both. Don’t do that.”

“Don’t do what? Call you out for being the problem child you are?”

“You want to hear what I came to talk to you about? Or do you want to interrogate me about Nyx?”

“I want to make sure my friend isn’t about to drag a woman, who’s already been in hell, through even more bullshit. I’m all for whatever you two have going on. I only want to make sure it’s in the best interest of both of you.”

“Nyx and I had a very open conversation, and we’re both on the same page about what we’re doing. She’s good, and I’m good,” pausing for a moment, I glared at her. “I can’t believe you think so little of a nigga.”

“Oh, Jamie, kill the drama. Nobody thinks little of you. I’ll be grilling Nyx just as hard whenever she’s comfortable enough to tell me what’s going on with you two. It’s cute though. I think y’all are good for each other.”
