Yes, please.
Rusty walked beside them the rest of the way to the house. Easier to keep an eye out for incoming pounces that way. Once inside, Wren headed to their room while Kale and Roark carried the pups to theirs so they could dress them after they shifted out of their fur. Logan followed Rusty into their bedroom and used his backside to bump the door closed.
“Ooof!” Rusty had no sooner shifted than he found himself tackled onto the bed by Logan, who’d managed to shift faster than Rusty had. “If one of you hadn’t already buried my white flag, I’d be waving it right now. How come I’m the recipient of all the pounces today?
“We held a secret election right before we headed outside,” Logan replied. “Pups included. The vote was unanimous.”
“Uh-huh. Sure.”
Rusty tugged him into a kiss before Logan could say anything else, carding his fingers through his mate’s long hair as Logan deepened it, forcing Rusty to swallow the low moans Logan let out as he started grinding on top of him.
If you’re going to tease, you’d better follow through, Rusty groaned.
Logan’s response wasn’t given with words. It was the sound of the drawer opening and the soft click of him opening the lube they kept there. Cool fingers circled his entrance, driving a whine out of him as they plunged inside. Logan’s cock followed, thick and hard. Rusty hooked his foot around the back of Logan’s leg, using it for the leverage he needed to rock, wanting all of it and the ride to come. What followed was pure, primal fucking, as Logan wasted no time hammering into him.
Rusty wound up folded in half, legs over Logan’s shoulders, Logan’s fingers forming indents in his skin as Logan gripped his hips, every thrust driving Logan further out of his mind. Fingers scrabbling, Rusty gripped the edge of the blanket, yanking it over his face to muffle the cries he couldn’t contain anymore. When the world fractured, all he could do was ride out the roller coaster of pleasurable sensations until Logan finished and collapsed beside him, one arm resting across Rusty’s abs.
Rusty’s bones felt like they’d been liquified, or maybe it was just that the bed was so soft his body had started sinking through the blankets. In time, it might swallow him completely and let him merge with its fluffiness. Movement was impossible as wave after wave of aftershocks left Rusty’s body quivering.
Have I finally silenced the complaint department, or should I pounce on you again?
I think you rendered it temporarily inoperable.
Only temporarily, huh? Guess I’ll have to try harder next time.
No one is home right now. If you’d like to leave your name, number, and a brief justification for this call, I’ll get back to you at my earliest possible convenience.
Something tells me that I should not expect that call to come through anytime soon.
That would be wise.
Logan’s laughter rolled through Rusty, carrying warmth and the love that had bloomed between them since Logan had showed up at the garage in his rolling wreck of a Talladega. Every moment they’d spent together since then, alone, with the pups, or with their larger extended family, had cemented the bonds between them. Logan looked at Comet Lake as his home now, and the wolves here had come to recognize and welcome him and Wren wherever they went.
Soft images floated through Rusty’s mind, unlike the ones that used to plague him following a mission like The Slaughter Bowl.
Wren, with one aqua-mitten hand in Bailey’s red-mitten one, as Bailey continued the skating lessons Rusty started, while Colin and Rusty enjoyed a picnic on the bank of Comet Lake.
Acer with his head on Wren’s shoulder, holding one of Wren’s ears between his while he napped.
Clover wobbling across the room, taking her first tiny steps, not in one of the adult’s directions, but towards Wren, who’d opened their arms and waited to see if the pup would reach them, all while calling out encouraging words.
Logan sitting on the couch laughing with Baz. Anias and Bowie curled against his chest, babbling back and forth like they were having their own funny conversation.
Sunlight streamed through the window of the study, making Logan’s fur gleam as he lay sprawled in an easy chair, book abandoned on the coffee table in favor of an afternoon nap.
“Weren’t you two supposed to be getting dressed?”
Roark’s voice cut through the haze in Rusty’s mind, pulling him back to the moment and the bed he was sprawled out in.
Shit. Yeah, they were supposed to be getting dressed when they’d ducked in here.
“Everyone’s already upstairs waiting, so be prepared to catch a bunch of shit when you show up.”
“Shouldn’t that be shitake mushrooms?” Logan groaned, deliberately giving their mate a hard time.
Rusty tugged the blanket off his face, cracking his eyes open to see Roark sputtering as he stood at the foot of the bed, shaking his head at them. Finally, he huffed, threw up his hands, and crossed the room to their dressers. Sleep pants and t-shirts flew towards the bed, first from Logan’s drawer and then Rusty’s.
“Do I need to dress you too, or can you manage on your own?” Roark asked.
