Well, I guess that answered my question. The bellyflop had been so ridiculous though.
Another girl sighed. “Look at his wet dress shirt clinging to his muscles. And he looks so mad.” She bit her lip.
Yeah...gross. He may have been someone’s fantasy, but he certainly wasn’t mine.
“Scarlett Hunter!” Uncle James yelled at the top of his lungs.
I winced.
William burst out of the water full nude. For a second it looked like he was going to tackle Uncle James. But maybe he realized at the last second who was in the water with him.
“Why are you naked?!” Uncle James shrieked.
William leapt out of the pond, ran through the living room, and kept going right out the door. Fully nude. And several of the monkeys followed him.
Uh oh. Well, William was going to get arrested. Unless he was heading to the subway. I saw nude people down there all the time. The monkeys though...
“Why are all of you naked?” Uncle James said and glared at all his students.
Well now he was just exaggerating.
“It’s a Christmas Adam party,” someone offered.
“Well Adam’s party is over!” he yelled. “Now where is my daughter?!”
I mean...if he thought this was some guy named Adam’s party...that would kind of fix everything.
“Nah, Mr. Hunter,” Leo said. He walked over to him in the water. “It’s a Christmas Adam party. Because it’s Christmas Eve Eve. And Adam came before Eve.”
Damn it, Leo!
Uncle James screamed and stepped back. “There’s a snake in the water!” He grabbed a broken piece of the railing and lifted it like he was going to slam it against the snake.
Which I knew was not a snake.
Leo dodged out of the water. “Nah, Mr. Hunter,” he said. “That’s my dick.”
Uncle James dropped the piece of wood and leapt out of the pond. “I knew you were a bad kid, Leo Moore! That’s disgusting!”
Leo laughed.
It was actually a pretty inventive costume for the theme. Uncle James was way off base here.
“And what is this?!” Uncle James yelled and swatted at the fake snow in the air. “Someone stop this nonsense!”
Leo walked over and turned off the snow machine.
A few people booed.
“Everyone put clothes on right this second!” Uncle James yelled. “I’m calling everyone’s parents!”
Uncle James!
My dad walked into the party whistling. “Whoa,” he said and stopped in his tracks. “Bro, you didn’t tell me there was a party down here. Sick. Wait, is this a Christmas Adam party?”
My dad was so cool.
“Round them up!” Uncle James yelled. “We’re calling all their parents!”
