“Get off my sister so I can hug her, too,” Alder said, her voice thick with emotion as she smacked Kit’s other cheek.

“Dunno, I’m kinda liking this attention right now,” Kit sassed, wiggling her ass. “Spank me again.”

Alder rolled her eyes, grabbed Kit’s belt loop, and gave it a tug. “Go talk to Shan about that.”

“Leave me out of this,” Shannon protested as Kit hopped off Aspen so Alder could pull her sister into a tight embrace.

“Yeah, you lost that right when you decided to sleep with the fuckboi,” Bonnie drawled.

“Oh shit,” Zann muttered as Lydia wrapped an arm around her waist and wisely drew her away from the budding fray. On the one hand, she was impressed at Bonnie’s sass, but on the other, she didn’t know if the poor girl would be able to hang with Kit if things got serious.

Bonnie had shown moments of personality, sure, but compared to this company she was just so damn reserved.

“A fuckboi?” Kit echoed. She inclined her head, looking genuinely offended as she turned to stare at Bonnie. “I may be a little slutty, sure, but I am always respectful.”

“A little slutty?” Michael fake-coughed. And then he grunted when Kit slapped him in the stomach, hard. “Ow. Damn. Sorry.”

Kit hit him again. “You should be, Mister Threeway-with-the-cabin-boy.”

“Yeah, that’s a fair cop,” Michael allowed, rubbing at his stomach.

“Maybe Bon-Bon is just jealous?” Jack mused. He scrubbed his hands through his hair, artfully ruffling the strands in a way that made him look effortlessly sexy as he glanced toward the restaurant’s crowded bar that was just beyond the doors to their private dining room. “Who looks good, Bonnster? We’ll wingman for ya.”

Bonnie’s cheeks flamed when everyone turned to look at her. “Wha—? No. I— I don’t need a wingman,” she spluttered. When that declaration had no effect at all, she begged, “Eve? Help?”

“Wrong move. You can’t show weakness like that,” Zann chuckled. She smiled at the please don’t egg them on look Lydia shot her, and kissed her softly. “Sorry.”

“But Bon,” Eve said, her bright blue eyes dancing. “I thought you didn’t need a wingman?”

“Ohhh shit!” Jack hooted as the group fucking erupted.

Bonnie’s face was positively on fire as she muttered something that looked like I hate you all.

Still giggling, Eve must have decided to take pity on her because she reached for the bag Aspen had left on the table and called, “Okay, girls’ turn,” as she pulled out a small stack of gift boxes.

Zann kissed Lydia one more time before letting her go, and shoved her hands in her pockets as she joined Jack, Kit, and Alder to watch the “girls” unwrap their gifts from Eve. Jewelry was apparently the theme of the day, as Lydia, Shannon, and Bonnie’s gift boxes held what looked like platinum necklaces with a pendant of their initials and a thin cuff bracelet to match, while Michael received a watch.

“She must’ve engraved them, too,” Alder noted as Eve’s bridal party turned into a teary mess after looking at their bracelets—and watch—and mobbed her in a group hug.

“Sure looks like it,” Zann agreed.

“Engraved?” Kit asked.

“You’ll see when you get around to assembling yours,” Aspen told her as she joined them. Her eyes crinkled as she watched Eve with her friends. “I’m glad she has them,” she murmured.

“Me too,” Zann and Alder echoed.

“Okay, but what about her?” Jack said in a hushed, undoubtedly conspiratorial voice.

Zann frowned as she, with Aspen and Alder, turned to see what Jack was talking about, and pursed her lips against a smile when she saw that Jack and Kit were surveying the crowd at the bar.

“What are you hooligans doing?” Alder asked.

“Looking for a piece of ass for Bonnie,” Kit explained without turning around. “Do any of you know what her type is? Like, we know she was with Handful-girl and the other one, but is she only into chicks? Or does she do dicks as well?”

“Oh my god,” Zann chuckled as she and the rest of their little group looked to Alder for an answer.

Alder took a small step back. “Why is everyone looking at me?”
