Bishop found me because he needed something. Beck stuck around because apparently the bastard doesn't know when to shut up.

But Callie?

She doesn’t need anything from me.

She just wants me.

And I still don't know what the fuck to do with that.

I shake my head, not wanting to examine it anymore.

I read the note underneath it.

Still think I'm bad at stalking?

I stare at the second one. A laugh escapes. “Getting better.”

Jesus Christ. Apparently, I collect evidence now.

I open the refrigerator and grab a bottle of water.

Callie makes mistakes. A lot of them.

I take a drink.

People underestimate women like her. Blonde. Beautiful. Smiles constantly. Talks too much. Laughs easily. Does ridiculous shit without a hint of embarrassment.

I won't make that mistake again.

She's impulsive. Reckless. Possibly missing whatever part of the brain is supposed to recognize when a man is dangerous.

But she isn't stupid.

Far from it.

Callie watches and remembers. And when something doesn't work, she changes it.

If she actually knew what she was doing, that combination would be a problem.

My mouth twitches. Good thing she doesn't.

My phone buzzes. I expect it to be Beck. But this time it's Callie.

Chaos: Did you like my decorations?

I stare at the message. She doesn't mention the tracker.

Me: No.

Chaos: Liar.

Me: You put approximately fifty sticky notes on my truck.

Chaos: 63

I stare at the number. Sixty-three?
