Beck looks impressed. Roman looks homicidal.

“I learned that from you.”

“Wonderful.”

“That wasn't a compliment.”

“I took it as one.”

Beck laughs again.

Roman turns toward him. “Why are you still here?”

“Because this is the most fun I've had all week.”

“Leave.”

Beck looks at me. “See how he treats me?”

“He's bossy.”

“I fucking hate both of you.”

My smile widens. Beck grins.

Roman points toward the truck. “Go, Mapquest.”

I look from Beck to Roman. “Mapquest?”

Roman's expression changes slightly.

Oh, there's a story.

Beck looks delighted. He rubs his hands together. “This is about to get really good.”

Roman gives him a warning look. “Don't.”

Beck takes another sip of coffee. “So we're doing nicknames?”

My eyes widen.

Roman's whole body tenses.

I look between them. “What?”

“Nothing,” Roman says.
