“I trust that we have an understanding. I trust that you understand that you belong to me and not to them. Never to them. You will be here working for me until you lose your usefulness or you die. There is no other way out for you.”

I know she means every word of what she says. I understand full well that she will kill me before she lets me go.

She will kill my Alphas before she lets them touch me again.

She will do everything and anything in her power to keep us away from each other.

And I have absolutely no way of telling them what’s happening.

After five days or so of being followed around by this Miki guy, I’ve learned very little about him. What I do know is that he rarely ever speaks, and when he does, it’s mostly on the phone and in what I believe is Japanese. Sometimes in a lightly accented English.

He never addresses me, never addresses my clients, and he turns his back whenever we do a scene in a private room.

Mama hasn’t let me do a public scene on stage since this whole thing has gone down, and I don’t miss it at all.

But I do miss my Alphas. So fucking much.

I didn’t realize that I would, not this badly, but after spending time with each each of them alone, learning new things about them, and being able to touch and talk with them, I knew I would never be able to let them go. I’d said it already. But now that it’s been forced on me, it is the utmost torture.

That thought makes me think of Garen immediately.

Is he all right?

When he left the last time he came to see me, he seemed lighter and a bit happier. All the other times that he had appeared happy and boisterous it was more of a mask, I think. But after we talked, and after we hugged, and after I held him and comforted both sides of him, I feel like we really made a breakthrough.

Thoughts of my still dominant Alpha, Ilya, float through my mind. Just remembering the way that he submitted to me, even though it was a short encounter, and even though it was very vanilla… Knowing that he had never submitted to anyone before, yet he was so willing to try it with me, made all the difference. It’s still a turn on right now, even with my circumstances.

And Cade. I learned more about him than I ever thought I would after his sneaky interrogation, even if the information I got was mostly superficial. But all that knowledge came from just one meeting. Imagine the things that we could learn about one another if I was able to be with them all in true privacy. Actual freedom.

Dangerous thoughts.

I want to get a message to my Alphas, but I know I can’t risk trying. Not me personally, and not sending anyone else. Not even one of the bouncers.

I refuse to endanger someone’s well-being, or worse yet, get them killed.

But, when one night in the private room that I’d always chosen when I knew my Alphas were coming for me, as the only people who booked me for an entire night, I noticed that one of the cameras in the room was acting erratically. My senses raised an alarm in my mind, indicating that this was an important turn of events.

I think back to my conversation with Cade, and how he had told me that technology was his greatest passion. And it made me wonder if it was possible that he could be listening.

I can’t let on to any anyone else who’s definitely listening that this could be the case. Whether I’m right or wrong, if Mama finds out that I’m trying to send a message to my Alphas through her surveillance equipment, tipping her off that it’s compromised, I don’t know what will happen.

She could hire more people to try and hunt my mates down and kill them, whether they come near me or the club or not. Or any other number of horrific things.

And I do not want to take the chance.

My next client had not arrived yet, and I was alone with my new shadow, Mr. Miki.

Doing my very best, not to look at the camera, I finally address the man.

“Tell me something. How do you plan to kill those Alphas if they come near me or the club?”

He turns to look at me, but says nothing.

“I mean, come on. There are three of them and only one of you.”

The expression on his face is bland. He remains silent.

“Oh, so no plan then?”
